Average Food! The restaurant is located in OMR and the ambience is good, less crowded, road side parking, food tastes not that good for the price, I went for a dinner and tasted porota, chicken Kari dosa, mutton fry, idly, chapati all were average and highly salted. Service was good. Overall okay not highly recommended.
Visited for a dinner. Not much crowded so decided to get a parcel. ambience was ok, parking not much space. Only available to park on the the roads. Busy area. The parotta were okish. But the dry fish karuvaatu thokku was ultimate. Worth it to have it for chapattis and dosa.
Exquisite Pattukottai-inspired Indian Non-Vegetarian Delights! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kamatchi, a restaurant that specializes in serving authentic Pattukottai-inspired Indian non-vegetarian cuisine right opposite to World Trade Center Chennai. My experience was nothing short of exceptional. The menu at Kamatchi is a tantalizing journey through the flavors of Pattukottai. Each dish showcased the rich and vibrant spices that define this unique regional cuisine. The seafood options were particularly outstanding, offering an array of mouthwatering choices. My personal favourite Kauvattutokku. I started my culinary adventure with the Vanjaram Tawa fry, and I was instantly transported to flavor paradise. The tender fish, cooked to perfection, was bathed in a luscious blend of aromatic spices. The depth of flavors was simply remarkable, leaving me craving for more. Next, I savored the Meen (fish) Kuzhambu, a traditional delicacy that exceeded all expectations. The tender chunks of raw mango were immersed in a dark red tamrind gravy bursting with fragrant spices. The dish struck a perfect balance between heat and subtlety, making it a true symphony of flavors. To accompany these delectable dishes, the restaurant offered an impressive selection of rice, including nei soru , which paired flawlessly with the rich curries. The service at Kamatchi was impeccable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food they served. They were more than willing to provide recommendations and cater to specific dietary preferences, ensuring a personalized experience. In conclusion, Kamatchi is a hidden gem for those seeking an extraordinary culinary journey through Pattukottai-inspired Indian non-vegetarian cuisine. With its delectable dishes, inviting ambiance, and top-notch service, this restaurant has left a lasting impression on me. I wholeheartedly recommend Kamatchi to anyone looking to indulge in the rich and authentic flavors of this region.
I've been to this place many a times for dinner, where I found the idly/ dosa they serve with chkn, fish and mutton gravy is a good option for light dinner. The gravy is also decent. With this previous experience,i have had great expectations about the lunch. But I would never recommend it to anyone as they have worst service, average tasting food and unreasonably high price. I found the place unhygienic too. We were struggling to find a good table without houseflies. After that, even though it was not that crowded, service was extremely bad. Average waiting time to get the menu, place the order and get the banana leaves is more than 20 minutes, which is not the case for these kind of messes. Attached 2 photos of the meals, vegmeals costing Rs 130 and chicken meals costing Rs 320 . Additional curd and rasam is there which is not shown in the picture and one can clearly understand how unreasonably high they are charging the customers. I would never recommend this place for meals!
We had lunch here.. Went at 3.30 pm and had veg meals, Non veg chicken meals, Nei soru ( ghee rice) with chicken fry, Nei soru ( ghee rice) with prawn fry. Veg meals , Ghee rice taste was good. Keerai kootu taste was awesome.. Service was good. Chicken and prawn taste was okay. Price is very high.. Ambience was good..
Very good experience, we had Chukka Biriyani, Nool Parotta, Kolambu Kalaki, Normal Kalaki, Karuvadu Thooku. They give 3 Gravies for Biriyani and Parotta , Chicken, mutton, fish gravy. Overall a good experience and ambience. Must try. Parking is not there you have to find near service road.

Please aviod having food at this hotel because the food is expensive. It isn't served freshly (rather, it is served from yesterday) , and if we inquire about it , the staff becomes rude. I have also noticed that there are frequently far fewer guests in the hotel. All the given reviews are paid promotion.
