It was constructed through Bihar Council on Science & Technology at a total cost of about 11 Crores. It was conceptualised in 1989 by Bihar Chief Minister Shri Satyendra Narain Sinha who laid the foundation stone in October 1989 and was inaugurated by Shri Laloo Prasad, the then Chief Minister of Bihar, on March 21, 1993.

I recently visited the Patna Planetarium, and it was an out-of-this-world experience! The interactive astronomy exhibits and mesmerizing planetarium shows were both educational and entertaining. The staff was knowledgeable and eager to share their passion for the cosmos. It's a great place for both kids and adults to learn about the universe in a fun and engaging way. If you're in Patna, don't miss this stellar attraction!

I don't recommend to go here beacause whenever I want to visit it is closed no timetable nothing with poor management

This planetarium is so good fo me. It gives knowledge about celestial.

Very easy to reach. Parking available. Well maintained. Small garden is also there and it is good. Maintenance is also upto the mark. Fee for show is 50rs. Shows are at 12.30pm 2.00pm 3.30pm 5.00pm. Show length is approx 30 minutes. Auditorium is fully AC which is good and chairs are alo comfortable. I think kids enjoy these shows because they were shouting with happiness. Only slide show was running. No videos. Overall good experience.

This planetarium is one of the largest planetarium of india. It is a good place for children who have not seen planetariums outside Bihar. Can visit once if you want to enhance your knowledge on stars. I really think how much Patna has to deliver
