Patna, the capital city of the Indian state of Bihar, is a city steeped in history and culture, with a rich heritage that spans over two millennia. Located on the southern bank of the Ganges River, Patna is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. The city's history dates back to ancient times, with mentions in texts like the Mahabharata and Pataliputra, the capital of the Maurya and Gupta empires. Patna played a pivotal role in the spread of Buddhism, being home to the famous Nalanda University and the Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya, where Siddhartha Gautama attained enlightenment. Modern Patna is a bustling metropolis, blending the old and the new. It is a hub for education and commerce in eastern India, with numerous educational institutions and thriving business sectors. The city boasts an array of architectural marvels, including the Golghar granary and the Patna Museum, which house artifacts that tell the story of its glorious past. Patna is known for its vibrant festivals, with Chhath Puja being one of the most significant, celebrated with great fervor along the banks of the Ganges. The city's cuisine offers a delectable mix of Bihari flavors, with dishes like litti chokha and sattu paratha being local favorites. Despite its modernization, Patna remains deeply rooted in its traditions and continues to be a cultural and historical treasure trove, drawing visitors from around the world to explore its timeless charm.

I recently visited the Patna Planetarium, and it was an out-of-this-world experience! The interactive astronomy exhibits and mesmerizing planetarium shows were both educational and entertaining. The staff was knowledgeable and eager to share their passion for the cosmos. It's a great place for both kids and adults to learn about the universe in a fun and engaging way. If you're in Patna, don't miss this stellar attraction!

Very easy to reach. Parking available. Well maintained. Small garden is also there and it is good. Maintenance is also upto the mark. Fee for show is 50rs. Shows are at 12.30pm 2.00pm 3.30pm 5.00pm. Show length is approx 30 minutes. Auditorium is fully AC which is good and chairs are alo comfortable. I think kids enjoy these shows because they were shouting with happiness. Only slide show was running. No videos. Overall good experience.
