Pathiramanal Island Bird Sanctuary (Alappuzha) paatiraamnn diip aalppulll - Bird watching area in Muhamma - Alappuzha, India

Island is not maintained properly. Ticket cost is Inr 20/head. Location showed in map is a private boat jetty where they charge 1000 rs per family to get you to the island. There is an alternate option to reach using Government boat service, but not sure from where it starts. The island is becoming dirty with plastics and food waste. Insufficient staff and lack of management is reflected. Do not visit as there is nothing worth right now. Visited on 5 Nov 2023

Beautiful natural forest island. Don't expect any facility including toilet. Hope authorities will do the required.

Its a small island situated in vembanad lake alapuzha ! It is termed as pathiramanal bird sanctuary, but there are no birds there other than crows ! But going to the island throught the boats and exploring it is fun ! Island is full of trees and normally it look like a forest, the only thing missing is wildlife !! The main attraction is it is very less crowded !! The boat charge is little high, other than that it worth a visit if you are passing through this area

Awesome place for meditate the mind.Its a small Island with full of mangrooves and other trees.Boat service to Pathiramanal from Kayippuram Muhamma-Alappuzha dt and also from Kumarakom and Alappuzha boat jetty.

The 20 hector island in Alappuzha is inside vembanad lake. It's an ideal location for backwater lovers.vehicles are left at the shore and the travellers have to go on rafts and boats to the island.The island is thick and dense with trees and have a walkway for the travellers. It could be a whole new experience and an important pit stop for a travel holic

A small island on the Vembanad Lake. There is no human living there. Boating service available to the Island. Rs. 100 per head is charged to transport. Good place to visit. Natural bio diversity can be viewed in the island.

It's a totally different experience. The concept is good. But it is not maintained properly. We don't even get a good place to sit over there. We need to reach the island via boat and the same costs 100 per head for 5 people. If number of people is less than 5, they will charge 500 for one boat. There is no bird sanctuary over there. Apart from the boat charges you need to take a 10 rupees ticket after reaching the island.

It's about 1.5 km of journey through water from Muhamma. Both ordinary and speed boats are available there. Speed boat costs 500 for 4 people. The cost of an ordinary boat depends on the number of people. We were around 40 people and they charge 80 for round trip per person. Nothing special about the place. A small forest area where we can walk around and spend/waste time. Won't get anything inside the island not even water. There is an entry fee of 20. I don't know why it is called a bird sanctuary. I saw none. Toilets are there but without water.
