I visited this museum yesterday during my Solo motorcycle ride to Patan. The museum is not the best one I have visited but still it was an ok experience. I was shocked to see an INR 5 entry ticket which is unbelievable considering we are in 2023! Unfortunately, one isn't allowed to click photographs inside the museum. Definitely recommended for anyone visiting Patan.
Patan Museum is located near Rani Ki Vav. In this museum you can see the rich ancient heritage of Patan. Patola of Patan. Information about Jain temples, kings of Patan, forts of Patan etc. is available.but not huge people Visit this place
Has sculptures from nearby areas. But generally lies forlorn and with sad and neglected look. Needs to be pepped up with better display, some activities, better upkeep and information.
Museum's exhibits cover a long span of Nepal's cultural history. It has over 1,100 artifacts, about 200 of which are on permanent display. Most of the objects are cast bronzes (mostly sculptures of Hindu and Buddhist deities) and gilt copper repousse work,
The museum is really nice with wall sized dioramas and filled with sculptures from various places of gujarat. Must visit. Nice exhibition but known to very little crowd.
