Patali Shrikshetra Jungle And track - Historical landmark in Sonepur - Sonepur, India

Patali shrikhetra in the subarnapur or Sonepur district of the odisha is a famous place with significant historical importance. This religious place is associated with shaktism,Buddhism and Vaishnavism. It is located in the foot of trikut hill at birmaharajpur subdivision of Sonepur district,odisha.

Awesome place. Cross 89 steps to reach 1st temple then at 1st temple there is 22 steps as in Puri lord Jagannath temple. Then climb up the hill 500mtr from the 1st temple to reach at hill top. Then climb down up to 3o mtr to reach at the real Patali shreekhetra where The king of Puri hidden Lord Jagannath during attack of Kala Pahada. But remember to take water with you during climbing the hill.

Beautiful location to trek.. With a mythological belief of Lord Jagannath.. Fresh air greenery and eye-catching scenery.. But Be careful of the sharp edges.. Local people there are very friendly and kind.. Talk with them to know the history of patalisheeketra you will mesmerized by the way they explain everything.. Jai Jagannath

Best place for trekking

This is a awesome place. I was awestruck at the view of the mountains... That endless shades of blue. But the people with any kind of problem in their leg cannot climb up to the cave . First their is around a hundred steps to reach the Jagannath temple . You can rest there . But a road is under construction to reach the Jagannath temple. Overally it's beautiful. The Rocky hill is steep but once you reach the cave the place is so amazing.
