Espresso shot wasn't expressive so that's not recommended but if you want to run into a good ambience (like we ran, when rain suddenly started) to sit and relax, you can surely grab a cup of hot chocolate here.
Bakery and Cafe Owned by Goan women entrepreneurs. Yummy chatuney sandwich. Fresh in house bread . Melting in the mouth. Found amgelo mango cake we are missing this from Goa's Market. Rates are reasonable. Absolutely pocket friendly. Chicken cafrel is the fastest selling savoury item. Also people love their sesame toast, spring rolls as well. Must visit when you are in Goa.
This place has been renovated and the area is now made cost and modern .. they have lots of options in pastries snacks and a few drink options as well.. Chicken Franky and chicken pen rolls are a must try.. over the years of pastry cottage they have maintained the quality alls well as the cakes... Before the staff here wasn't very welcoming but thats also changed now. The new staff and their service is good.

Service is the biggest downfall I'd rate them a 0 if I could the staff are extremely lazy they have a lot of attitude some of them even try to avoid the customer and hide in the back areas whilst on their phone I have experienced it multiple times at the Campal outlet and sometimes Panjim too. Please give them the basic training as to how to attend to a customer in a courteous manner as they're ruining the reputation of pastry cottage. There is no consistency in maintaining the quality of the food it has deteriorated over the years. The staff say that the stale cakes are fresh when you can clearly make out it's not fresh at all. The only reason I would constantly visit pastry cottage was for the butter cream cake but now the quality of that has dropped too. And I'd know the difference because I've been eating it since 2005.

Very very very bad experience. It was no good, i just wadtrd my money here. The service was so bad, the food was so bad, no idea why is this place still open. We were all wet because of the rain and had a small 1 year old with us. The lady was not ready yo turn off the AC for 2 mins. Don't get me started on the pastries, so bad, not fresh and 0 taste just sweet.
Pen rolls are a must try! Great ambiance with quite good coffee.. However you just can't have your meal in peace as there are plenty of flies moving over the cups & food
