Parch dam - Tourist attraction in Chhoti Bari Parachh - Panchkula, India

It is an old check dam. It is a good place to visit in the early morning,here the weather is pleasant, many people came here for cycling,only you can come here with your vehicle or cycle only no public transport. This reservoir is also used for fish farming. The beautiful mata vaishno devi temple is also nearby from here.

As long as this remains off the easy access route for the rowdies, the place is rich in small game and birdlife, with superb sleepy views

Far away from city traffic and honkings, this place is a perfect escape from your tense job. I prefer coming here in the morning. Right now it has gone dry due to technical issues.

If you want to escape from the busy city life for a while and want to take a break, this is the place to go. I went on a cycle trek to this beautiful place with my friends. There's a hill top vaishno devi mandir nearby , you can visit it. It is full of greenery and hills and with the lake it all gives you immense peace.

Beautiful place to visit in weekend ! But no facilities available near by so take all essentials items with yourself. It is a small water reservoir. Just 15 km from Chandigarh. Path can be off road!

Not much to see here... There seems to be an abandoned office and storage room a bit further up and you have a view of the mandir up top and the lake this dam has formed, but it's not the best view. It also has a view of Mullanpur, but it's a pretty small view with not much to see... It's very quiet here aside from the mandir, and it's not a very lonely place thanks to the wildlife... The main reason not to come here is the road. I cycled here (god bless my bike) and unless you have a proper mountain bike with good shocks this is a pretty uncomfortable ride. Wouldn't recommend. Terrible roads and nothing to do anyways
