Parambikulam Dam View Point - Tourist attraction in Muthalamada South - Palakkad, India

Need to travel 30 kms in forest with own vehicle along with forest ranger or government vechile. The cost per head is Rs.400. If it is summer time it will be too exhausted, but in rainy or winter season the view and climate will be good and you can enjoy.

Mesmerising.. Beautiful climate.. Best time to visit june -july as the monsoon starts animals come close to the lake area.. It was the last ride we took.. Driver didn't rush us anywhere as he allowed us to spend enough time in all the view points..

The only way one can reach this place is by forest dept safari bus or private car if you have booked for an overnight stay. The view as such is breath taking, still room for a lot of improvement.

Here you can enjoy the verdant mountains and the elephants, deers, bison monkeys and insect species that live there.They take us in a vehicle belonging to the forest department which is our safety.

Loved it. The scenery is awesome. Entrance inside Dam premises are prohibited. The dam is situated in Kerala and maintained by Government of Tamil Nadu.

This is the last point in Perambikulam that public can access. Though this dam was built in 1960 and is in Kerala state, The Tamilnadu government holds the lease for 99 years to maintain this dam. Only cars are allowed inside Perambikulam and bikes are not allowed in any of the Perambikulam surrounding area. Only way to enter Perambikulam is via Tamilnadu side.

Beautiful serene and lovely place to relax. There is a cottage by the forest department to stay overnight. That will be great relaxing day. Many wild animals including lion tailed monkeys,black monkeys,deer, varieties of birds etc give a perfect holiday mood.
