This arch has been bit my an lorry bcoz of his carelessness. This arch was one of an famous landmark of the city. New arch has been constructed at the same place. Yet the landmark remains again !

It's one of the Landmark of the Paramakudi city which is the one of the entrance for get into the city and the way to Paramakudi Bazar.. It's also an bus stop to reach the railway station of Paramakudi.. Nearby this place , you can get all the things because of lots of shops available.. Near to this , by the way to Railway station you can get access for ATMs ( KVB bank & Co-op banks )...

It was constructed in memory of the 50th year of India's independence celebrations. Just a arch which is used as landmark, nothing more than that.
