Meena Bazaar is a floating market within the back waters of the famous Dal Lake. You can reach here via ferry or the popular shikara rides. The market is like a regular one, except that it's floating. You can find Kashmiri shawls and dry fruits that are exquisite. A ferry ride around sunset is a beautiful sight.
Make sure to take a shikara ride through this floating market built over the Dal Lake. Shopping and a glimpse of local lifestyle will surely amaze you. And don't forget to try the local icecream called Dilkhush... dil khush ho jaayega!
Thinking about shopping market in a lake will be very exciting for anybody but to reach there through a boat will definitely leave a bad impact in your lifetime experience, dirty water, wastage floating & no attractive shops, so before board on a shikara think a little about "Will it be value for money?"

You will be treated with some on boat vendors during the ride.. Remember just enjoy watching them.. Purchasing is not recommended!
You can have some tea and snacks at the market stalls though.. Pretty amazing they serve!
