Lies at an attitude of 3500ft above sea level between the scenic kuttikkanam and vagamon , the magical urumbbikkara pappanithidu vellachattam (water falls)offers you thrilling adventure experience . You can have a stroll among the vast expanse of tea estates and cardamom plantations here. Off-road lovers must visit this place. I really like this place .

Very clam and quiet place. The falls only active in rainy season ( May last to Jan ).Only 100 meters mud road, remaining tarmac.
Its one of the best yet unexplored place in Urmbikkara. To see its complete beauty, try to come in rainy seasons. Travelling towards this place is like a breeze. Well maintained and less crowded roads. Be responsible for keeping this place clean and plastic free.
Great place to refresh. Locate within a very lage rubber estate, this place gives you an opportunity to enjoy fresh water and air. As the place is not very popular, the crowd is very less. The water coming from the hills is very clean and pure. You can bath in the cold water and enjoy the air. Nice place if you are adventerous
Very nice Falls un like others. Vellappara waterfalls situated in Kokkayar Panchayat, Idukki district. These waterfalls are located on the both sides of Wembley - Urumbikkara road. The water that flows down from the Urumbikkara hills starts to gain momentum and flow over the rocks forming froth giving it an appearance like milk and this is what attracts the visitors who throng to see the stunning waterfalls. To reach this beautiful place, by travelling from Kootickal town which lies 1km away from Mundakkayam and take the Kokkayar-Wembley route to reach the waterfalls. You can also reach here via Wembly junction road which is just 1.5 km away from the falls. The British started the rubber plantation in this place for the first time.
Go to Urumbikkara, known as the offroadroad paradise of Idukki. One of the best spot to have a wild bath... very clean and natural flowing water. It is not very big. But large enough for 5-6 adults to have fun together in the water. I 100% recommend trying this place and go ahead for offroad experience.
3-hour hike with wonderful views all around. I recommend starting early in the morning. For foreigners, they ask 600 Rp which includes- entry, a guide, water, and some snack. Be careful of leaches, better to wear good shoes and long pants. The track
This Watch Tower in Ottakathalamedu offers 360 Degree views of the Cardamom Hills, Kumily town and the Helipad. The access road to the watch tower is best accessed by Four wheel drives and Motorbikes. The View is totally worth your time.
