The forest cover is amazing hills, waterfall , Riverside views are amazing , different animals are there also many different kinds of birds are present here the guides which are provided by the reserve administration are knowledgeable and nicely behaved
It was a thrilling experience to visit this tiger reserve with my family in October 2018. We had seen lots of wild animals and birds. The guides and vehicle drivers are experienced and friendly. Madla gate is preferred for the trip. They try real hard to satisfy the tourists. However, spotting a tiger or a leopard is a bit of luck. One has to get the permit online from the website of Panna Tiger reserve first. Then you have to talk to the hotel staff to contact a vehicle/ driver for the pick up. Only maruti gypsy with special permits are allowed to enter the forest. A guide will be provided by the tiger reserve authority. It was very cold and windy in the morning and gets very hot after sunrise.
Absolutely fantastic tiger reserve in a sprawling 550 Sq km campus. It has currently 40 tigers of which about 12 are radio collared and are being constantly monitored for movements and poaching. It also has a vulture point from where one can see nesting vultures. Frequented by Indians and foreigners alike, it's sanctity is maintained by recent string of Supreme Court judgements.
Beautiful forest in the land of diamonds. Ken river is so beautiful in the early morning and evening . Many nice birds are there .
The Reserve is situated in the Vindhyan Ranges and spreads over Panna and Chattarpur districts in the north of the state.
Panna National Park was created in 1981. It was declared a Project Tiger Reserve by Government of India in 1994. The National Park consists of areas from the former Gangau Wildlife Sanctuary created in 1975. This sanctuary comprised of territorial forests of the present North and South Panna Forest Division to which a portion of the adjoining Chhatarpur forest division was added later.
Really nice reserve, we saw one tiger on our jeep safary on the morning! (We also did ranthambore N.P, and we haven't seen any tigers there and the zone is much more smaller there! Feel more tourist industry...) So definitely prefer Panna reserve! Great experience in Panna.
Good place to feel Jungle but if you want to see only Tiger then may be you could be disappointed . Bandhavgarh have more Tigers than Panna
