Very very quite & peaceful place. Nothing much to see on the island. You need to take a ferry (till 7pm) that cost Rs.10 (return fare is free). Very big ground is there. Few temples are there.
This place is very amazing. And relaxing no rush. Villagers traveling in boat . Boat timing
Lush green island surrounded by many small islets and superb during monsoons, you can only reach here from naigaon via boat, there is one temple on this island.
Panju (Island) village is located in the Vasai creek, positioned between western railway's Naigaon & Bhayandar stations. It is an ancient village. All the monetary transactions were carried from this village at the time of Sir Chimaji Aappa. The Village has given pivotal contribution in India's Freedom fighting campaign. It has given twenty three freedom fighters and stands first in Thane district as far as its capacity of population is concerned. Area of Panju Island is around 600 acres, Aagri community dwells here. Main profession of the community is farming, fishing, salt farming & manual sand evacuations by tradition. There's a primary school as well as Government recognized secondary school. There are timely ferry services available throughout the year to reach this island. The frequency of boats is about once every 30 minutes from the Naigaon West Jetty.
It's a unhabitated wild island in middle of sea back waters. There is no way to access main island via any means as access to the island is infact prohibited by local municipality. It mostly contains maangaro plants with marshy mass.
Good place. Travel via boat. Few shops and nice people.
Ideal place for Mirrors & Glass for interior & exterior with new variety and reasonable price.
The location seems quite but scary with perfect view.
