Indian History Revealed everything about our ancestors Panipat Museum has been specially established for disseminating information about archaeology, history, art and crafts of Haryana with special emphasis on the Battles of Panipat which marked the turning point in Indian history.

The way I presume Panipat Museum should be, honestly it wasn't. But it is very small and very confined. A small amount of articles from mugal era and lodi time. Few coins and some war itmes . But one time, must visit.

This museum hold some historic artifacts, pictures and historic information. Staff does it best to help at what ever at their disposal. This place can be better improved and needs to be upgraded. It took lot of efforts to find this place. No identification marks to lead this place. Outside is clean. Staff is ok ok. Washroom is not marked and needs better care. It feels that place lacks fund crunch ...Admin issue and not in scope of this review.

Was having lot of expectations from this museum considering historical importance of this place, however in reality it turns out to be nothing at all. Except for a few description boards, there's nothing much to see. Museum is not maintained properly. Full of dust & smell. Some old coins & display items are falling apart. The museum is so small that it shouldn't take more than 30 min to cover while reading all the information boards. If not 10min is more than enough. Considering all those cons, a fee of Rs25 per adult is way too much for the museum. This is one of the very few reviews I've made with negative vibes. Sorry to say but definitely disappointed. The name 'Kala Amb' (Black Mango) is derived from a story that a mango tree stood at the spot... and it turned black from all the blood during the battle. The wood from this tree is said to have been used to later construct a doorway, and it is kept in the Panipat Museum.

This place contains some of our old traditional things. So you must visit at least once.
