Well maintained site however no Office / history museum / book shop. Visit Panipat museum to know more about the history of 3 battles.

Not many people visit here. You will not find anything much except a place where black mango tree was there. The place is not even well maintained. But still if you want to have some alone time distant from city chaos then you can spend some time here.

Lot of improvement needed, basic washroom facility was locked

Panipat Battlefield Memorial is a commendable tribute to the valor and sacrifice of those who fought in the battles of Panipat. Visiting this place I got an opportunity to interact with a group of people who belong to a special community in Haryana. People of this community are known as the Rod Maratha. They are descendents of Maratha soldiers who fought the Panipat batle in 1761. It was a profound experience for me. I highly recommend this memorial to anyone interested in Indian history and the profound impact that battles can have on shaping a nation's destiny.

Kala Amb is situated at 8 kms away from Panipat city, known for it's three wars, pickles and handloom industry.. Kala Amb is beautiful and historical place.. A red obelisk marks the spot where the Maratha commander Sadashiv Rao Bhau fell in the third battle of Panipat between Marathas and the Afghans led by Ahmad Shah Durrani.. According to the local traditions a black mango tree stood at this spot and it was under this tree that Bhau fought his last action.. The old tree died and a new mango tree has been planted in its place near the Obelisk.. Apart from the tree, being the attraction of the place, there are many other places of interest near this site like cosmopolitan malls offering shopping and entertainment opportunities along with a handloom and textile market.. Decently maintained place Can be made more attractive for toirists by adding some more structures like museums statues etc.. A good war memorial to visit.. Free entry.. Good for a walk. Good place if you want to take your family foe picnic.. Do carry your food and enough water bottles because you cannot rely on a government owned canteen.. Everyone wants to come here again after once.. Overall you will enjoy this place a lot.. It's so beautiful, so pure and so serene.

Even though there's nothing to see at Panipat Battle Field, still one will like this place. It's large area made with pathways & grounds for walking, jogging & relaxing. My 1 year old son loved to walk around the place. Since there's nothing much to roam around in Panipat, this should be in place to visit list if u have some free time to spend. Road from main city is not good but once you reach here, you'll immediately feel fresh breath. There's good enough space for 2 wheelers parking & approx 10 cars can be parked. Parking is free of cost.
