Had an opportunity to visit the place on business and it is an amazing hub of culture that is being maintained.
Historical. Sir C V Raman's house
This very place has many things to say about. This is the house of first science noble laurate from india Dr. C V Raman. But currently no one resides there. The place is used for conducting science exhibitions lately by one NGO called Innovation and Science promition foundation and their office space is also based in the same place. Most of the land within this campus has trees which give it a natural tinge as far as the surrounding is concerned and work anywhere within the place without worrying about feeling hot during sunshine days.
Amazing place in the heart of Bangalore. Sir CV Raman's old home. Now a place where various active science events occur, thanks to being currently used by an organisation called Innovation and Science Promotion Foundation, whose mission is to promote hands on science amongst children and teachers.
I don't know why this place has got this name(Panchavatti). Should have become famous by the name of Dr. CV (Chandrasekhara Venkata) Raman's house as he actaully used to live here. It is very serene, well maintained and beautiful campus where currently no one resides. But the place is still put to use by holding the science workshops, exhibitions now. It is amazing to see different varieties and kinds of trees which have been planted many decades ago, and interestingly some of them even give the fruits as well. The place is under the care of a trust known as RRI(Raman research institute). A must visit place, as here used to once live a personality who was the first to win the noble prize in physics from India.
love the place. used by science lab promoters think tac now. and the group is doing a great job conducting science workshop for school kids
Please check out the ispf ngo based outta panchavati. A very innovative organization run be highly qualified academic folks to help kids understand basic science concepts using simple models.
A place blending science with nostalgia, Sir CV Raman lived here. Though concrete jungle has devoured and spoilt Malleshwaram, this place is still pure
