A unique and serene place with a nice water mill. Presently, the headquarters of the WAQF board. The fountains and the water mill are working perfectly. The ancient doors and the arches in the mosque with the shining and lustre are worth a visit.

An example of ingenious water management and engineering in olden days , the Pan Chakki or Water Mill is situated in a large complex consisting of the dargha of a Sufi Saint , a mosque , a madarassa , office buildings and living quarters . A large reservoir with fountains , a centuries old Banyan Tree , a cool underground dining hall are other noteworthy features . The pillars of the mosque have amazingly shiny marble-like plastering . A signboard explains how the water was brought from the far away hills through clay pipes by natural gravity . The flow of water was used to operate the stonemill.

It's good for residents evening they can sit and enjoy the place. But for tourists it's waste of time. Nothing to see only one pond and one old banyan tree. Ticket charge inr 10.

A slightly disappointing experience. Entry is 10 rupees for Indians or 100 for foreigners (the standard blanket discrimination in most sites). I'm unsure what the entry fee is going towards because the place isn't very well kept. Litter disrupts what could be a very relaxing water area. There are some fish in the water which are nice. The engineering is truly impressive so it's a shame it is not showcased more.
