Dr Bikramjit Pal is an excellent doctor- very caring for the patient by providing the right advice that is beneficial for the patient. He undertook my Mom's case which was at very complex and sensitive stage due to her health situation and Dr Pal provided a very good line of sight for the treatment which included surgery and post surgery recovery and care. He is the best in his field and more importantly his care and guidance for his patients is his uniqueness! Pals Retina Care is simply a comfortable and a safe place for any retinal surgery. This review is regarding Dr Bikram Jit P Pal and his clinic . So it is going to be a bit lengthy. So sit back,relax and read. I can review Dr Pal on two indicators - 1) His knowledge , experience and comparing him with his contemporary doctors nearby. 2) The patient on which he operated/ performed surgery. To be honest i don't have the credibility/knowledge to review him one basis of the first indicator. So let's jump to the 2nd case, which is -> patient he operated/performed surgery . Well in this case the patient is my dad/father. a)Issue/problem with my dad--> retinal detachment (well how bad? On the scale of opaque translucent and transparent visibility my dad's eye visibility was between translucent and opaque, in simple words my dad's right eye vision was almost negligible. Everything was blurred . He couldn't even tell the time on his wrist watch with the affected eye ). After visiting the Dr Pal's clinic as recommended by my dad's previous eye specialist(i said eye* specialist not retina* specialist which Dr Pal is) dr Vivek sahay , matri prerna hospital as he himself denied that he can't treat retina detachment,he recommended (not forced) us Dr Bikaram Jeet Pal for this specific case. Dr Pal's response --> After seeing the eye(especially retina) condition he made us understood with all means possible in a layman's language and the consequences of further ado in the surgery (please keep in mind that consequences has no relation with emotional or fear game play performed by many of the other doctors to get them treated by themselves only ) . He left it on our decision for our next move( i;e like to go to Vellore as we were suggested by our society , family members and they even said to go to Kolkata) . But we choose him over all other possible options. Post surgery - the surgery operated on my dad's eye is known as "Vitrectomy"(read about it on google) . Initially after the surgery all the precautions and recommendations and care were taught by him to us(which was to be observed for 3 weeks staright )and we just waited for the results. As it is not kinda surgery which will recover your vision just after the surgery . Trust me you have to be patient for a certain time which can be long or short sometimes (depending on the way your surgery has been done . For more info refer google) . Current condition of my dad's eye--> you remember the vision scale i mentioned on the top and as i said it was between translucent and opaque . Well now almost 4 weeks after the surgery my dad's eye condition is between translucent and transparent he can read (not very small letters but little bit bold) . He can see the calendar from a certain distance and much more . In my honest opinion it is better to have something than nothing (in case of visibility). Well you know that retina detachment can lead to permanent blindness if not performed well or not performed within a stipulated time . Everyweek my dad had follow checkup with Dr Bikram Jeet pal. He kept a proper check on my dad's eye(retina). Conclusion --> No matter what other people say about this , i don't have any beef on them or critize that review . That can be their personal experience . No offense. But in the end my dad's vision is recovering and that is what all matters to me . So Yes i will surely recommend this doctor whosoever is willing to go for a surgery/consultation (in my dad's case--> Vitrectomy). We discovered retina issue in my father all of a sudden. Diagnosed with the same in Pune, we took multiple opinions from a few doctors, but our lookout ended the day we met Dr. Pal in Ranchi. A very polite, concerned and generous as a person, Dr. Pal took everything as smoothly as he can, and we never found a single reason to complain. Right from the day we met him, to the day my dad is close to recovery, he has been constantly under our reach for any concerns/queries. His way of treatment, even inside the OT is very unique, as per my father, who has all praises from him. Be it clinic consultations, or in the OT, his care and confidence reflects. Not only has he taken great care of my mother's health, but also he is lovely to speak with at every appointment. He's very understanding and listens to your concerns with patience. He takes time with the patient to help them with their issues. It's rare to find a doctor that combines such personal touches and care for a patient as a person with outstanding quality of medical care. His fees is quite fair and the price of the medicines prescribed by him are also very reasonable. I highly recommend Dr. B Pal for any kind of eye surgery and eye related treatments.

Johar A Couple of months ago I met with an unfortunate Accident, and it was this tragic that My both eyes was badly affected I was not able to see anything I was in this condition that I could experience only whether the light is on or off that much, through some sources we came to know about Dr Vikramjet Pal .we visited the clinic met Dr Pal he looked into the matter with atmost care and Recommended for urgent surgery of my eyes. Dr Pal did my eyes surgery and it was successful. I have a history of multiple Retinal Detachments in Right eye and hemmorhage in Left eye. Since, I have been staying out of Ranchi for the past few years, when I developed symptoms of retinal detachment in left eye in July 2020, my biggest tension was finding a good retinal surgeon in Ranchi due to lockdown which was preventing me to visit LVPEI, Sankar Netralaya or alternate eye hospitals. Through some sources I came to know about Dr. B K Pal who has recently started his clinic in Ranchi and browsing through the reviews written by some of his patients I was half relieved. The remaining half was also achieved when I met him for consultation. He is one of best docs that I have met till date and trust me that I have met quite a few over the past years due to my recurrent eye problems. Not only did he explain each aspect of the planned surgery in detail but he gave ample time especially to my parents to clear all their doubts and tensions regarding the same. The surgery was planned within a week and it was very professionally executed. The best part were the follow-ups where he took extreme care and even though he was unavailable for few days due to COVID situation, he made sure that I got proper care and attention. Even during this period he would personally call and enquire my progress and advise accordingly which was an altogether new experience. During my visits to his clinic, I have witnessed that he and his efficient staff giving personal care and attention to all patients especially kids and elderly people. Moreover, he doesn't seem at all money minded and commercially motivated as the prime attention is on patient care which sets him apart from many others in this region.
