Palm Tree Heritage - Resort hotel in Varkala - Thiruvananthapuram, India

Recently, I stayed for two days, and it was the worst experience I have ever had. The air conditioning was not working, the rooms are not a standard one, there was a lack of proper water supply, the food was expensive but not tasty, the staff were unprofessional, they did not provide necessary laundry items, and despite charging expensive rates for a supposed 3-star resort, the amenities felt more like a lodge. The one and only advantage was that this resort is situated on a beachfront, resembling a private beach.

I plead please don't book here at Palm tree Heritage. Owner doesn't know how to speak with the guests and doesn't have basic courtesy. fully money minded. I cancelled my booking a day before and he took whole booking amount as cancellation charge. Please be careful while booking here.

Pros: Very good location but not accessible to shops Big and clean rooms The food is decent Cons: No Wi-Fi, no fridge, no purified complimentary water. Everytime you want water, you gotta buy overpriced water. Service is pathetic. They don't have a matchbox, it takes hours and hours to get your food ready. You need to have your own vehicle to commute to the nearest of the places.

I finally located a decent resort, Babu Palm Tree, after doing a lot of research on Google. I heartily suggest this location because it has the nicest private beach and retro rooms. Not to mention, the food is delicious . You get the impression that you are on a water bed because the bed is so cosy. If any of you plan to visit Varkala, i recommend this resort because it's reasonably priced.

Poor experience. This is the first time I saw that plastic sheet used in the top of roofs in a resort. There was raining for 1 hours and after that our rooms seems like swimming pool. The service is very bad.really very worst experience manager aim only grab our money totally 0 maintenance ac not working fan not working totally disappointed

Visited Palm Tree Heritage for weekend with family, had a very disgusting experience. Rooms were smelling stinky, faulty Ac, unclean bed sheets, fan was too noisy, not worth even a single penny, They will ask you to come and select a fish to get it cooked for you and charge 4-5k for food at time of checkout. First of all never go to this place, if you go there by mistake your Varkala experience will be regrettable expect for the beach experience.

Fine sea view, not a crowded area, can sit outside anytime at night, spacious washrooms, ambient it's too good to see the sunlight hit the garden
