Palette - Solar Residency - Resort hotel in Srinagar - Srinagar, India

Location is little offbeat. Rooms are good but washrooms needs improvement. Food quality is good, limited buffet option. Overall recommended. Services are very good.

The location is not in the midst of main tourist attractions. The lobby is big and nice. Lift is available. Rooms are average. Food quality is good, but there is very limited choice in the buffet. An urban built hotel, with hardly any green space. Might be good for business travellers.

The hotel is located slightly away from the Dal lake and there's nothing in walkable distance. We were served Kehwa as the welcome drink which tasted decent. The room was sufficient and neat. There was a small study table, chair, ottoman and 2 seater sofa along with a teapoy. We felt that the centralized heating system was not efficient on the first day, but on the next 2 days - it worked fine. Room service is quick and efficient. This is a no-frills place offering decent service and clean rooms.

This is by far the best hospitality we ever received. I was on vacation with my parents and they really loved this hotel. Sorry for writing this review late but seriously the staff is excellent here. Their kind gesture and hospitality was totally beyond satisfaction. Hats off to the team. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. If you are traveling with your family, this is the best place in Srinagar for sure. For 2 days I had work also, and before booking I called so many hotels about their wifi. I could not find any hotel with wifi having good speed. Receptionist gave me confidence that there won't be problem with wifi here. And guess what, she was right. I was easily able to work with no internet interruptions. The buffet was great, it had so many options and was very tasty. The menu was also different every day and it was lovely. From so many stays in India, this by far is the best value for money hotel I ever found. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel was good and food was good. But do not take taxi from this hotel. The guy never explained how much exactly it is going to cost for Gulmarg. He said 2800 but despite asking many times he never disclosed the price. Everytime he asked for extra price for everything, initially for entry into gulmarg, then for sight seeing in gulmarg , then for the waterfall in gulmarg.. we ended up paying more than 10k for one day Gulmarg trip. He kept asking for more and more..

Property is located in Rajbagh area of Srinagar where most of the properties are hotels only. The property owner was cleaver enough to take my cellphone and submit the review of his hotel. This is an overpriced property with minimal amenities. When enquired offline the room tariff was quoted 6k though I got it for 4k in MMT. The towels were not clean enough to be used. The room was small. Room was provided with heater facility which is a necessity in Srinagar.

Rooms are good and the area but the restaurant is not recommendable as the food quality is not up to the mark and the time taken to refill any particular dish is also very long. Otherwise the hotel is great for stays!!!

Very comfortable, affordable and good ambience. Quick service and a very polite staffs. A staff named Sameer had welcomed and greet us really well. Overall experience was very nice.
