Little gem nestled amid wildlife santuary. Souparnika river just beside the camp add to the beauty.. A very good place for weekend gateway near Kollur. For nature enthusiastic, a great place for birding & spotting rare animal species, a diverse variety of butterfly species provoke even novice interest in entomology. A special mention not to be missed is great hospitality offered in camp. Great camp to connect to nature and experience the wilderness..

The place is just 4 km away from Kollur mookambika temple. Completely inside the jungle. Very silent. Perfect get away from a noisy city. The place is on the river bank of Souparnika. Feels good to be there. Staffs are friendly and rooms are well maintained. One think surprised me was i did not see any plastic wastes thrown in the jungle there, which is very good. We had a good stay .
Simply wow, whether trekking or adventure or photography or a relaxed weekend out, it's an amazing place. Food is just too good, you can buy the fresh fish at the town about 5 KM's around and give it to the chef, he will happily make the recipe you want. The view of the sowparnika river bank and the deck is awesome.
This camp is situated after Kollur and amidst of the Mookambika Wildlife Sanctuary. You will be welcomed by a friendly staff and most importantly the enchanting birds at the camp site. You will see hear and see birds throughout the day. Camp offers wodden cottages, tents and dormitory. They are very clean and neatly maintained by the staff. Common dining hall and good buffet options, mostly prepared Mangalorean style. You can ask if spice needs to be little less. From the camp you can go for short treks that's one among many activities suggested by staff. At the end of the camp Souparmika river flow is situated, allows you to take a swim and also go for kayaking. Early morning you camp manager or staff will take you for a bird watching, and walking through the woods is some experience. They got good children playing area, they can enjoy playing here. Since it's a place for many birds if you are visiting don't plan for any party activities it is strictly not allowed. Vehicles can go until camp and they got good parking area. Lots of butterflies and birds. In the night we saw few snakes and also flying squirrel. Weather is mostly humid, December will be cool. No need of any warm clothes for this place.
The camp is natural, well maintained facility. JLR should be appreciated for coming up with this camp. The team is very friendly, knowledgeable. A must visit for every bird watcher and photographer. It's a heaven for TROGON AND ALL TYPES OF KINGFISHER!! And "they have a hide tooo"
Located in the Mookambika Wildlife Sanctuary, the Anejhary Butterfly Camp which was previously run by the Karnataka Forest Department is now run by the Jungle Lodges & Resorts group. The place has been renovated a little and a few Log Huts have been built which are quite good. Food is simple yet good and staff polite and courteous. The place in itself is beautiful with the camp located in the midst of tall trees and next to the Sowparnika River. In the right season there plenty of butterflies that visit the camp and hence the camps name. For the birder, the place is a haven with a good number of species in and around the camp. There is also a bird hide setup to observe and photograph the birds.
It was really a good experience in the forest, the camp is maintained well by Manager(Rajinikant) and staff's. The staff member(Azaruddin) took us to Bird watching, he is having quite knowledge. The staffs are kind and service was really good. I suggest this place and enjoy the nature too.
