A great historical place near Betla National Park .... No entry fee and no maintenance .
King Medini Roy of the Chero Dynasty constructed this fort in the 17th century. According to locals, a new fort was later built for his son, Pratap Roy. The fort is situated just 5 km away from Betla National Park in Palamu and is a must-visit destination for those who enjoy exploring historic monuments.
An historical important place in Jharkhand/Bihar history of Chero Dynasty. Fought against Mughals and Britishers. Medini Ray build this fort in 1673. Fort is completely ruined as it's not provided any help of renovating broken parts. On way to fort have to go through small villages and forest area. Will get change to see Elephants.
I have visited this placer multiple times. These are two large ruined forts located deep in the forests of Palamu on Sher Shah Suri path near Daltonganj. This is 5 kilometers from Betla National Park on the bank of river Auranga. More than the fort itself, it is the ride to the place through the densed forest and view of the same forest area from the fort that attracts tourists. If you are lucky enough you can also get to see some animals.
Very rustic and secluded place, we can trek near the fort it looks very adventures and scary also during evening time.

Excellent place to visit. All tourists coming betla national park must visit this place. Rich heritage & building will surely fulfill the expectations of travellers. JTDC recently is taking care of this place but that should be started more ago so that the could not become that much ruined. Elephant safari of this whole fort area will also start shortly.
You have to hike through a road to reach this place. Vehicles won't go till the new fort gate. The hike leads to the fort which gives am amazing view. But the road can be tricky full of rocks and mud. So it's upto your own risk
