Magnificent palace built by Jataprolu Samsthana rulers in 1871 AD. Kollapur was a princely Region under Nizams. Though the palace has become old and parts of the buildings are in ruins, it doesn't loose it's charm and glory

Historical monument, a place to visit but not officially.. only to the lawn you can go by requesting the people incharge.

A rare collection of history of Kollapur

Interesting palace emerged in the pre-independence era (1871). Was told there was an airport as well here during those days. Kings who ruled here were fond of hunting there are pictures of them post hunting Tigers, Cheetahs and Crocodile etc

Many a times I have visited this place during my childhood. Most of them are still maintained Private & can't visit. It was told that the "Raja saabh" who ruled this place before independence, was well worthy with lot of treasure and was well maintained during those days. I was said that it used to called as Kollapur kingdom, with 4 main streets on all sides of this palace. Guards used to ring bells every hour for the Public to know the time during those days.
