I ordered a cup of tea and the cup was dirty I asked them to change the cup but they again served me dirty cup. Writing this review hoping that they will serve us clean cup next time.
Bad experience. The chole served was cold and it was from the previous day. The service and the waiters are bleeeh!
Good place for quick food and sweets
Palace is famous for its 'Puri/Chole Bhature'. It is that famous that when you want or talk quality 'puri' dish in Shillong, you'll automatically think of this restaurant. 'Ras malai' is another popular dish here. It has been operating for a very long time. With time food quality, ambience and cleanliness have improved. The place is not that spacious and is located at the very busy Motphran area of Shillong. Motorcycles can be parked just outside the restaurant but vehicles have to be parked at nearby parking lots. Even with these limitations, it is always full most of the time. Only cash payment is accepted here.
One of Shillong's oldest sweetmeat shop. If you're craving for a good, correction, great samosa or rasgulla, 'Palace' at Motphran is the place. It's hardly a 'palace' but the sweets are definitely royal.
This place has the worst food and very bad hygiene is seen inside this restaurant. It also belongs to immigrants who are not even from the city. I dont recommend anyone to go here..
