It was a good experience and we took nearly 2 hours to complete the trek. Simple trekking and anyone can do this. Trekking allowed on all the days and timing is 9 am to 5 pm. Sundays you may see more crowd rather than other days. Carry enough water before you start climbing. You can easily find space for parking.
A beautiful hill in kannur. Well maintained neat and clean, special thanks to forest dept. In order to reach the top you need to walk a fair amount of distance. Since I came there by bike after riding for more than 3hours, I was tired and needed to take plenty of breaks in between the trucking. This place is situated at a dead end, so parking is not at all an issue. Less crowded when I visited ( it was a weekday ). A small entry fee is there, and they check the bag for any kind of plastic/ liquor etc and are strictly prohibited. You can bring plastic bottles and all but they will take the count and you need to produce it again while returning back. The hill top view is good, but I think it will be great if you go there early morning. I visited on noon and the heat was unbearable. Overall I like the place.
Perfect Example for an Excellent Nature Friendly Jungle Resort ,the next best part was the fantastic food and excellent service at the ECHO friendly Restaurant . Waterfalls are one of nature's most beautiful attractions! If u wanna feels its More than the beauty of the falls, dont miss this place what we enjoyed the most is the bathing. The experience of standing right under the falls in truly incredible. Literally feel like needles piercing the skin. We visited in the month of July and there was ample water. You need to walk a few steps down to reach this private falls from the room . There is much space to stand around near the Falls and enjoy this Natures Blessings
The place was good for trekking . We have to walk through the forest for many kilometres maybe half an hour is needed for trekking the forest to get to the view point . It is necessary to have water with u. The view is not important the fun is all on how u spend ur time during the trekking. Even after reaching paithalmala view point there is a vast area u can explore
Trekking is all that's about! The view is beautiful but of all the best is the journey till there. There is further to see ..beyond this point! Well carry enough water! Well would like to add that..u are going on ur own risk. There is only people letting u in and out at the entrance but then u r on ur own... no guards nowhere, no medics, no help. Other than that...it is literally a must visit place
The place is a real feast to anyones eyes. The Flora and fauna there will mesmerize your minds. If you're interested to have a walk into the woods and have some fresh air, this is a best place near Thalassery to go. We reached around noon. The initial walk is through the dense forest, so the thick canopy will protect you from harsh sun rays. This walk is around ~2km. Which is followed by a walk in the open scaling mountains and valleys, but the cool breeze will always push you to move forward along with the spectacular scenery. There is a view point where you can have a good view of the forest.
Good experience for tracking and beautiful place
Very beautiful place.. calm and quiet.. Climate changes in every minute.. wet, humid and foggy climate .. beware of leaches. Plastics are not allowed other than permanent water bottles
