Pai's fish land - Seafood restaurant in Hubballi - Dharwad, India

Poorest of poor. These sort of places should not be existing in the first place. It is located in the most shabby place in the old building. I couldn't make out, it's restaurant. I found two people chit-chatting inside a very small place in the utter darkness. I was so hungry and had walked a bit under the Hubli Sun. Just by seeing me, these fellows jumped upon me. I had cravings for Fish Tali and don't want to walk around again. So skeptically though, I accepted their (challenge), it really was. And they switched on a single bulb that revealed the utter shabbiness & dirtiness of the place to some extent. Fortunately that single bulb was not enough to lit the entire space. It was a very small congested place with no ventilation, natural light whatsoever. The entire place reminds me of sort of firewood storing place. The whole set up took me certainly not of this era but of 1960s. They had 4-6 tables with chairs. The kitchen is on the side of the set up and I couldn't see any light there also, wondered how and what that single fellow standing there would cook? Adding more misery on the entire set up, the kitchen fellow, used to sneeze continuously, minimum 10 times, while preparing my food. Of course I was the only customer there. I just thought of running away somehow. Finally the food arrived, I ordered for Surmai Tali. Fortunately the food was really hot. I didn't touch any of the side dishes. Whether the plate is clean or not I couldn't make out. And I made it a point not to drink water from there. Food was average. Somehow I finished and went to wash my hands. The horror story still continued. The hand wash was a plastic tap with no wash basin off course, erected on the wall and there was a dirty hole on the floor for the water to pass by, gosh I could see only once that the passage hole and the floor had food waste scattered across. Good that the place was not lit up fully. Otherwise I would have thrown up. Somehow I done my hand wash, couldn't venture to mouthwash. I asked for the Bill, off course there would not be any Bill which would be oral bill what the single fellow in the kitchen would declare. He said something which I heard Rs. 220/- that I thought for coming there they should have paid us back. Then he said, after my Rs. 220 bucks, it is Rs. 320/- I just wanted to jump off from there. Paid whatever he asked and ran off. Cannot be considered as a restaurant or any sort of eatery. They off course must be living in bygone era. I wonder, Food inspectors/Municipal authorities are not there in Hubli to shut down these shabby places. Conclusion: Never ever visit this place, this will be a place to distribute contagious diseases.

One of the worst taste and quality hotel tried in my life... Never order from zomato or swiggy ... Quantity they send for pets not for humans... They don't use fresh fish. All old forzen stock fishes

Pls avoid at all cost specially goan do not enter, fish lands fish itself was not fresh, cook forgot to add salt in both curry n rice and instead of that he added to the fried fish don't go on 5 star reviews these guys must have never tasted fish in their whole life...

Highly recommended for fish thali lovers, great authentic seafood restaurant with value for money and hygiene interiors. * Pomfret fry and bangda curry, must try & lip smacking as well.

Good place from fish eaters. I really enjoyed my meal here. Good taste reasonable price. Gonna visit again
