It's a beautiful homestay. I loved the my room and the view is breathtaking from my room. The owners are very helpful and well behaved. The boy who took care of our group, his name is Pema and his service was very good. My stay in Darjeeling became memorable because of the stay at Pahari Soul.

My experience at this home stay was horrible. Please don't go by ratings. Most of them are fake.
1. It is about 4 Km from main centre.
2. You can get many hotels and homestay in this area at much cheaper price
3. Rooms were very dirty. Bedsheet and blanket were not cleaned, infested with insects. I got skin disease.
4. Both deluxe and super deluxe are same in poor quality, just different in size.
5. They have deliberately kept the lighting in rooms dim, so that customers cannot see the dirt and flaws
6. Ambience in room was highly depressogenic
7. Bedside lamps were filled with insects

I will recommend not to stay here because the hostel service is also better than this.
5 stars for the view. I booked @3k per night with a balcony. The view is great. Kanchanjangha can be seen from the balcony.
But the room is old. Old but clean. The bathroom is also clean but there is low water flow from the basins as the water tank label is not that high.

First of all they don't know the difference between deluxe and luxurious room. They provide more facilities to the deluxe rooms whereas they take 800 rupees extra for luxurious room . You will not get bed hitter, spotlight, headset in a luxury room but you will get all these in a deluxe room. I mean what is it? Secondly our washroom's latch was broken. The light was not bright. Most importantly the service is not at all satisfactory. We were 6 people and we booked 2 deluxe rooms and one luxurious room. The luxurious room was not at all up to the mark and all of us were really upset regarding their service.
Definitely overhyped. I saw many reviews on youtube and decided to book it. Their unique USP is the location and the view from the attached balconies. Otherwise TV does not work, WIFI is feeble, parking area is fit only for a single hatchback (a decent sized sedan will fit but surely give the owner mental tension). For three adults one extra mattress will be desired. The cook was not even up to the mark.
Edit:- After the response of the owner as I saw below, I have further downgraded this homestay rating from two star to one. I did never mentioned any lie. No one even came and checked our TV ever, except for the cook, who arrived to settle the bill during checkout. The picture of the TV as I saw it was given by me in review. The WIFI was working, I agree, albeit speed was less than 1 MBPS. I now believe this homestay has deteriorated a lot after the owner (Smt. Sweta Chatterjee, now Sweta Agarwal) has married and moved to her in laws place elsewhere in Darjeeling.
I think this homestay is better than any other hotels of Mall road. Because the view of city from balcony is very charming. I forgot my purse on reception, here staff returned my purse with safety at my room
