A very beautiful and quite place. You can go with your family. You have to take a ferry from Gorai. Try to visit either in the morning or in the evening. Afternoons will be super hot. It's good if you are a member and taking vipassana class, you can spend your day fully there, if you are a visitor/tourist then you are allowed to see the vipassana from distance. The architecture stands for this, no pillars around the globe. They had build with interlocking stones and completed the globe. It's good to have few mins Swastik a with the guide so that you can understand the architecture. You need hardly 2-3 hrs. A good place to visit.

Inaugurated in 2009 by Pratibha Patil, who was then prime minister of India, the Global Vipassana Pagoda took over eight years to build. While planning for its construction began in 1997, actual work on the primary structure started in 2000 and came to an end by 2008. The origin of the pagoda can be traced to the stupa (3rd century BCE). The stupa, a dome shaped monument, was used as a commemorative monument to house sacred relics and writings. Note :- you must visit this place. I like it too much. I have also visited this place Today. This is a awesome place.
The Global Vipassana Pagoda is a Meditation dome hall and has beautiful and fascinating architecture the golden color just makes it aesthetically pleasing and there is no charge of entering as entry is free but you'll need the double vaccine certificate. There are different idols of monks, elephants, and dragons. It is located at the hill range and the chantings of monks which makes it calming and soothing. There is a garden nearby where one can sit with a picnic blanket and enjoy their meals on the premises there is vegetarian food at a reasonable price and the best time to visit is in the morning if possible because in the afternoon it's very warm and heavy sunlight and timing is from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
