Having studied in the best school in the city in the 80s and now closely associated with a few premier schools in the city, I must say Padma Seshadri is unique and different, not a great campus to showcase, but few schools in the city can match the overall student development that they can be proud off. Should give excellent rating.
There is no transparency in selection process parents should wait for much longer time for call letter for prekg at the time most of the schools in chennai finished admission they only send results in postcard for selected students during this advanced world imagine not selected parents how can they know they were rejected but they were collecting 500 fees for application but no proper response
I can answer this with both my kids at psbb. Pros: Ths is the best CBSE school in Chennai. Their greatest asset is their faculty who teach very well without a doubt. Every teacher is awesome there and that is why this is the best CBSe school in Chennai. The pressure on the students is low. Unlike Annual exams and rankings in other schools, the school believes in rating system and do not compare with their peers till middle school. This greatly reduces the peer pressure. The school teaches third language, so they teach Tamil if the student had opted for Hindi or Sanskrit as a second language and vice versa. They encourage students for Olympiad and extra curricular activities and not just academics. The classroom size is usually around 32-34 students and not too crowded, so teacher can focus on students. No extra donation and school fees is nominal. Cons: Getting admission is tough and they prefer the children of staff first, followed by Alumni and sibbling quota and then the general quota is considered only for those who are very near to the school because of the limited seats. PSBB KKNagar is much easier to get admission with more seats. Not much place to play sports in Tnagar, no playground in Tnagar but got a big ground in KKNagar. , Space is very limited in Tnagar and traffic during school morning and afternoon time is horrendous with a narrow road. For Pre KG and LKG, too much activities are given for parents. It's like parents doing kindergarten again and they expect parents to teach nursery rhymes and homework is given for parents. The school gives too much holiday homework during Quarterly, half yearly and homework even during Annual holidays. Sometimes, they, especially the head mistress make a fuss when kids take leaves for family functions and insist on leave letter even for a single day. The school toilets smell some times and they need to have it cleaned every hour and put some fragrance to avoid smell. During hot Chennai weather, kids sitting directly below the fan get some wind, sitting away from the fan makes the kid sweat much. No A/c in class room. Most importantly, too much of home work is given in the school even during summer holidays, they never let kids free even for a day. This heavy homework is certainly a bane for the school. I sincerely hope the school management reduces the homework for kids. I recommend this school, one of the best schools in Chennai.
The post covid reopening of the school is not going as well as they may have hoped. The crowds are not managed properly. 4 yr olds are being made to wait in the sun in packed roads with traffic going crazy. The management has to plan better. I will update my review in a few months if the situation changes.
As on date, most of the schools across the city have opened up for physical classes or operating in a hybrid model (physical classes for 2-3 days per week) for classes 1st and above (Some schoools have opened up KGs too). However there has still been no communication whatsoever from the PSBB management on opening of their schools even for senior classes (5th and above). Online classes are still prevailing in full swing in PSBB putting major burden on parents/guardians for overseeing their kids schooling activites. While the school has been very prompt in collecting full fees for the last two academic years, there has been no efforts taken to prepare the school campus for re-opening of physical schooling for students by following Covid protocols as suggested by the government. Many contract workers associated with the school have claimed that they have not been paid starting from Jun 2020. With literally non-existent infrastructure expenses due to absence of kids in their campus, the management is never willing to even cut down on the school fees during these Covid times. And to top it looks like they aren't interested in resuming physical classes too. So much for paying full fees. Covid-19 has brought a degree of concern for operation of physical classes, but many schools have worked around this by taking necessary precautions and following appropriate safety measures. I do hope some common sense prevails and the management doesn't take the eductaion of kids for granted and reopen their schools at the earliest by following hybrid models followed across other city schools.
A school where education is sold! Poor staffs! The school does'not provide with notes everything is xeroxed and given to students. Only a few students have the oppurtunity to participate in cultural events the school doesnt give chance to fresh talents. The teaching is very poor especially for maths! The subject teachers always demotivate students . overall its a worst school!
V.Good and efficient School in India
That school is not great on the basis of infrastructure but the staffs are really helpful and kind

Good collection and very reasonably priced. The quality of Fabric & Stitching are too good. What I liked the most is the way the staff took personal interest in me and showed the stuffs with great detail and knowledge, as if the staff is the owner.
