Padma Cafe (NSS Cherthala Union) - Vegetarian restaurant in Cherthala - Alappuzha, India

It's a typical south Indian restaurant. Padma cafe is an initiative of women's welfare group of Kerala. Both AC and Non AC area available for dining. While the South Indian dishes do get close to authentic, the North Indian and Chinese dishes, though few, are way off their authentic taste. As someone who had been here multiple times, I wouldn't say this is a great place for anything other than Kerala meals. Prices are affordable. Quick service and very friendly staff, taste of the food served is delicious. Lot of parking place available at the premises.

We just visited for evening tea and coffee. Tea and coffee was good but the snacks were not hot. The service was superb. All the serving staff's were ladies, they were best in their jobs. The restaurant is located in NH and you can easily accessible. Have lot of parking space available in front. Restaurant was in the first floor. Pricing was good.all the serving staff's were vibrant and super active.

Came across this new restaurant on the way, after Xray Junction, Cherthala. Have gone during lunch time. There was no expectation as I have not heard nor been there earlier. I was planning to have some tiffin. But since it was lunch time, there was poori and Chappathi only. So I went for lunch itself. Happy that I went for it. The "achar" (pickle) got me clean bowled at first instance. It was a pickle made of "Kondata Mulaku". I was having it for the first time and the taste was simply awesome. The lunch was superb. The Pachadi, kichadi, Aviyal, payasam, all really nice. One more speciality about the restaurant is that all the servers are ladies and they serve you with a very pleasant way. Would recommend those who travel to Alappuzha or Ernakulam, whichever way you are...

An excellent vegetarian restaurant to dine in with your family.Especially their Veg meals are a must try.Both AC and Non AC area available for dining.Prices are affordable .Very good service and the staffs are cordial. They have a decent Parking area in front of thr hotel but still parking will be a problem during the busy hours as the hotel is beside national highway

One of the better veg restaurants around Cherthala, their Kerala meals are the biggest draw. While the South Indian dishes do get close to authentic, the North Indian and Chinese dishes, though few, are way off their authentic taste. As someone who had been here multiple times, I wouldn't say this is a great place for anything other than Kerala meals. For South Indian cuisine, the nearby Apsara is surely a strong contender. Putting that aside, this is one of the cleanest veg hotels around. The prices are reasonable though there has been an upward trend, and there's ample parking space - so long as the highway expansion doesn't get in their way.

Fantastic staff, so very friendly and hospitable! Great food, one of the best Kerala tastes out there, most recommended

It is on the National highway managed by a community known as Nair service society(NSS). Good quality traditional kerala feast served with a smile at an economic rate. Yes. Its hygienic too. They use disposable plantain leaves to serve food.
