Beautiful small temple nestled in the hills. Primarily a place of worship for the Kodava people and not a tourist destination. The traditional ceremonies of the Coorgi clans can be witnessed here. We saw some locals offering rice equivalent to there weight on the weighing scale with chanting and prayers. I just hope these offerings are being used to feed the poor.
Don't treat this as a tourist destination, this is one of the holy places for Kodavas. Please don't visit this place in shorts, skirts, sleeveless dress. While the temple is open at 5:30am, there is bus service to this place and depending on how many people are there in the morning/noon/evening there is food available.
Blessed after being here. Tulabara days are Wednesday and Saturday. Prior booking is required. One should be present for tulabara by 6:00 AM wearing pure white dress and then follow the instructions of the priest. Traditional dress and should tie hair properly. Mahapooje at 12PM. Flowers are available near the temple but they are very costly. Better get from outside. Naming ceremony functions are done here. Breakfast and Lunch is served. Ample parking available.

Looks like a renovated temple, but has some story behind it. Small but beautiful temple. If you are not crossing this route, you can skip it.
