The rooms are small and unhygienic. The entire place smells like chlorine. The highlight of the place is the puppy called Thousand, he made staying at the place a little bearable. I wish they would clean the place as much as they cleaned the dog ( he smelled like strawberry shampoo)

One of the best hotels in Guwahati which is affordable also. The rooms are neat and clean. The staff members are very gentle and friendly. And the best part of this hotel is their food which gives you the feeling of home.
Very nice home stay.. would recommend it very highly.. food given is very homely, tasty, and at a very reasonable rate. The breakfast is not buffet, they have day wise menu for breakfast which is limited. If cut fruits & juices are added to the breakfast the hotel will be very full filling in all terms. Spacious rooms & the feeling of being at home & not caged in a small room of hotel. Most of the amenities/toiletries are provided in the room.
Lovely guest house; true to the name 'Umal' - friendly, warm and comfortable. Staff are very friendly and food is like home cooked. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Highly recommend 'Umal homestay' and will look forward to visiting in again in the future.
Great service, fantastic breakfast, fast internet, very good AC, comfortable bed. clean environment and they even waived charges for additional tea and lunch I had just because they are kind people who don't care too much about money!
