Oyo Townhouse Thoraipakkam - Hotel in Thoraipakkam - Chennai, India

1. Even if it is a OYO townhouse, it was very very badly maintained. 2. I checked in to two rooms for 4 nights. Bedspreads, bed sheets and pillow covers were stained. Not even changed. There was blood on our bedsheets. When complained to manager he says - Stains on white sheets don't go 3. Bad reception staff service. We came early and sat in the reception and the staff didn't even bother to switch on the AC. 4. There was water drilling from the AC which caused a fungus build in the walls due to which there was very bad smell in the rooms. We had to request them to spray perfume even. 5. The chairs weren't clean. The tables weren't clean. Even the toilets weren't clean. 6. Poor location - no shops nearby, main road is too far away. We will have to depend on our vehicle to get to even a small tea shop. 7. Not enough parking space. We had to cancel our booking on the same day because we hated our stay. Yet they didn't do any refund at all. Very very bad service. I suggest not to book this hotel again. Don't use OYO. Use booking.com

Do not go here!!! My parents stayed here recently, they had a very bad experience. * They booked online through Oyo app and wanted to check-in early by 7.30am instead of 12 noon check-in. After contacting Oyo customer care they were asked to pay an extra amount for it and they were guaranteed check-in at 7.30am. But once they reached the hotel that day, the hotel receptionist informed them that they had probably been cheated and no room is available for them until 12 noon. What a pathetic situation to be for someone new to a city and just completed a long train journey! Even contacting manager/oyo care had no use. We eventually figured out that the so called extra amount was actually the advance amount for booking and had nothing to do with early check-in. But the customer care person had given guarantee and cheated us. They came back at 12 noon and again the new receptionist said, sorry no room. In the meantime they were giving rooms to others who just walked in without booking. After a lot of argument, they finally allocated room to them. Overall worst experience. * Breakfast was provided - but idli was not even cooked well. * No soap provided, just one handwash that too the handwash bottle was nearing completion. * Location: This road gets flooded if there is heavy rain.

Very Poor!!!!! We booked the room for 1200 rupees through OYO, and we called OYO customer care for early check-in which is 10:00 a.m. and they charged us 280 rupees for the same .But after reaching here they didn't allow us and they asked for extra 500 as a cash . We need to pay them seperately for checking in bit early. I paid 2000 for a room which is not worthy . The room not clean also , water is flowing from the ac and paints are gone . Very poor ! I regret for choosing OYO!!

This is the worst hotel i have ever seen , first of all as the name mentions OYO ,it is not OYO , it is operated by UPAR hotel group ,this is as mentioned by the so called manager sitting in reception. Secondly in OYO mobile app ,the charges mentioned differ from what they charge when you go to the hotel. I had booked the room for 2 days ,and they charged the whole amount in advance without giving a proper receipt, the day when we went to occupy the room , the so called manager asked all the 4 members to provide aadhar card siting some policies, which is totally wrong , first of all they should not ask aadhar card, and that too from all the members is totally wrong. When we denied to give aadhar for all the members,the manager started misbehaving with my parents, and he denied entry to the rooms, and we lost all the money that we paid in advance. Do not even enter these kind of hotels.

The worst hotel ever we stayed in our whole life. Booking made by paying extra online and the counter is not ready to give room by telling some lame reasons. Room is not clean fan regulator is not there and TV is not in a working condition and breakfast they provided is cheap and silly items. I will not recommend this property to any of my known persons.

The worst experience one could have with OYO. I was denied accommodation even though I had confirmed reservation through OYO app. The reception guy came out from a room (deep sleep) and simply said "no vacancy" without any regret.This happened at wee hours (around 2:30 am). I went to Chennai with family to attend a condolence. OYO has designed their app you won't be able to escalate or get an alternate in such instances. Avoid totally OYO.

Their hospitality is good. It's really a nice place for couple to stay without any disturbance. Affordable price range with decent rooms. Their complementary Morning breakfast finished so early.

Room was small and amenities were like oook... Friendly staff and peaceful property where we won't feel disturbance a lot unlike others. Don't know why Oyo won't keep just a small hangers or something to keep clothes and all. Really this was very much irritating that don't know where to keep all that stuff. And also until and unless we ask for room service they won't do by their own when we going to stay for more than a day or two. Staff was very good but may be this was their policy I don't know. If these small things gonna be perfect means, it would be great from best. Location was good and it's like a walkable distance from Thoraipakkam. And breakfast I seen for one day and they kept something like idly Vada Sambar which is like fine but Oyo townhouse means like will expect a small buffet... Finally it's like property was good, staff was good, area was good. But it have to be awesome when they change those small things.
