OYO Townhouse 947 Hotel Tiruchendur Mani Iyer - Hotel in Palani - Dindigul, India

Very poor service. Rooms were not maintained properly, there was dust on floor and insects. The guy at reception ( in night shift) was drunk and was behaving rudely (he was not able to comprehend our request and was even cursing us in Tamil). The lady at reception in morning shift behaved properly & was polite. The restaurant at ground floor served decent food.

I stayed just for one night on 22nd. I would say that the hotel has to work on cleanilyness. The bathroom was not well maintained. The red bucket was white with so much scaling. The taps and wall fitting in bathroom had so much scaling. It is like for years they have not cleaned. I had to get the housekeeping to clean the bathroom. I will NEVER come. Food was good.

The hotel stay was pretty much good. We have found some insects in the room but after informing to hotel they have changed my room immediately. The hotel has restaurant at the ground floor. It serves the many variety if food including north indian and South Indian. They price of the food is little expensive. The distance from reply is almost 1.5 km. One can easily noticed in the rush.

I had to check 3 rooms before getting a better room. Bathrooms are shabby. Flush keeps flushing. Geazer not working, no hot water. No room boy to check in. Manager says that he is searching for the room boy. Lighting in rooms are bad. Switches not working. No night lamps available. Very poor service. I am yet to get the access card to my room. They are using one master card to open and had to depend upon the hotel for opening my room's door. Food is highly costlier. One paper kind of roast cost Rs.55 and a thin Chappathi is Rs.30. This hotel used to be so good. But it is too poor as there is no maintenance.

Big room but very small bathroom. Bathing area not clean. Room was clean. Had booked breakfast along with room they give one idli, 1 mini dosa, 1 mini vada, 1/2 puri and little bhaji, 1 very small katori pongal. Sambhar was tasteless and chutneys good but didn't like the way they serve. Coffee was OK. So overall ok

Rooms were dirty. Even toilets run by are corporation are better. Horrible unhealthy food. Don't try their disaster you'll fall sick. Their idlis are OK. But the dining area is dirty and the staff too are. This place gives me a sick feeling. Any other hotel is OK but not this

Stay was good. Rooms are good. Staff members are so gentle. The awkward situation I have faced....while having breakfast.. it was complimentary as per payment terms ....but to my surprise..the TEA served only against extra payment How come & since when ...in India a breakfast being described as "only snacks but no tea or coffee"...for God's sake...?????!!!!

Rooms are decent. But condition of washrooms are pretty bad. It was written complimentary breakfast henceforth we (4 members) had 3 vada puri set, 1 plate idili(4 idilis), 1 coffe, 2 lime juice. But later, they came up with a bill stating that we had extra food and charged a bill for coffee, lime, 1 idili, pongal. They didn't even communicated this to us earlier. Above all they blame us for not asking whether if we have to pay extra for anything that we eat. When its written complimentary breakfast, who would ask whether we have to pay? To sum up, eventhough they say complimentary breakfast, its clearly not!!
