OYO Shillong Mantra Guest House - Hotel in Shillong - East Khasi Hills, India

We struggled hard to reach the guest house. It took one extra hour to locate the guest house after reaching Shillong. The approach road, almost 1.5 km from main road , is narrow and with dangerously steep slopes. The cab drivers refused to take the cab to the gates of the guest house because of the steep slopes. With luggage it is very hard to reach here. No shops or eating place nearby the guest house. It is in a residential area. One will enjoy the calmness of the place. The good thing is cleanliness. The rooms & bathrooms are clean. View from the front rooms are beautiful. Four stars for cleanliness & and three stars for views.

Don't stay over here ... They are fraud and cheater.... They took entire payment for stay and car after that they would not go any places .... Clear robbery in daylight....also food quality is so bad..but they forcefully serve food and add into your bill ... They are typically lier ... They talk to you one thing but at the time of delivery provide excuses and not refund the money too... Beware of this two fraud, cheater and lier , Sanjay Das hotel manager and driver Pinaki das , Don't never ever check in to this hotel and never hire car from them ,, also this hotel is very far from center / police Bazar,, very difficult to communicate / reach to other part,, have to pay more in transport to reach at any proper destination...

Map location leading to narrow and steep roads. Host unhelpful in giving directions. he was overbooked, which he admitted only after we massively struggled and reached.. We were moved to an under construction place. So we booked elsewhere for second night and checked out causing wasted money.

Faced a littile bit problem finding this place, google map may disguide you, instead we contact them on whatsapp and they reached us by cab. Their room service and behaviour was the best part. Quality of food service was too good.

It doesn't support online booking .. so be aware its too far from city and once you reach there ia no way you can return as no taxi available .. Then they wl blacmail either to book directly on higher rate else shift somewhere else . Their rate itself too high as location is not suitable for children or anyone who cant walk uphill

Absolutely pathetic...words can't even start to describe the bad experience I had here...inspite of the fact that I had booked via oyo app and paid online the owner or whoever he was denied checkout and told me to pay in cash or pos machine and told me he had no tie ups with oyo whatsoever then my question is how was his hotel listed on the app...kindly explain...beware guys...Zero stars if possible...

Rooms are clean, the ROOM SERVICE are not good, food is not at all good. I have booked one room, where three beds were there, but they strictly said not to touch any other beds.

Never book a hotel here. Its a fraud. The Location is pathetic , and you would not be allowed to check in saying they they do not have tie up with Oyo or any other app.
