The staff and owner were incredibly hospitable, making me feel like family. I even formed a great friendship with the owner during my stay. Non view horrors They say it's good location. What they don't say, No one at reception. Forced to take room. No view of riverside only wall to watch lack of riverside views. This so called hotel has 9 rooms and only two has view. The owner was Barged in the room without reason. Guy Roming around in your room when you are out. Snap at you when talked to. Cohersed to take bad food at property, if you don't, then owner and little gangster makes your life miserable. 300 rs of bad taste 55 rs of tea. Overpriced. Only one guy is doing front desk, cook, room boy ......etc and will call you six times a day and will knock at room five times a day and may be other things. More like ghost hostel. If you are not used to hearing big noises of construction site at night ,don't go. Owner is , trying offensive familiarity with guests.He wants his cake and eat it too. Bad behaviour. Got 600 bucks from me for a pomegranate stain on bed sheet, for that sheet is yours is old , thin and worn out. The bad guy said it's blood stain. Dear doles, as a ortho surgeon I know more about your blood and lack of it, than you do. No airport transport,it is 22 km from airport, tell me more when you want to catch early flight. Irresponsible attitude by all staff. Snatched bag from me when leaving, the ugly guy. Closed light of room before I checked out the good guy. So have to pack bag in darkness. I left early 'caue I see the nonsense of closing the gate. May pose a physical threat. Property is inside a housing colony, will close main gate at 10 pm. You are lock, stock and barreled. You don't receive help from the room boy for getting out but you have to travel to housing complex security boy to open gate. Way out is outsourced. That's why your hostel is more than half empty. Guys are cold and unwelcoming. Deceptive Advertising,Rude Staff, lousy owner. Just for flimsy things and if you enjoyed being robbed, then location is really good

A review in reference to the river view room on the last floor only 1. Manoj does a great job of coordinating things with you from the moment you book and make the advance payment 2. The boy who assists Manoj does a commendable job in serving tea, snacks, food etc (only if ordered and paid separately). He's quick and more importantly clean and well dressed. The boy also promptly calls you to check if he can clean the room either in your presence or absence. 3. The room is very clean and the basic amenities provided are as promised. There's one irritating factor. The toilet of the room and the toilet provided to in-house staff members has a common wall. When the in-house staff use the toilet, it creates all sorts of sounds in the room! You'll have to bear this about 30 minutes a day :-( It's a bad building plan! However, overall a great place to be amongst the courteous and non interfering staff!

The behaviour of the owner is good. His friendly nature make us comfortable to stay there. But service was not as per my expectations.

We stayed at Riverview Guest House for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is fantastic - right on the river and the area is central, yet relaxing. The room was very spacious and clean, and the breakfast (which you order separately) was good and filling. Since we had just arrived in India, we needed help with several things and the owner, Manoj, was exceptionally helpful and informative. Nothing was too much trouble for him (thank you). We also really enjoyed the pleasant and gentle company of Dhaka (spelling ???) who works at the guest house. We highly recommend staying here and will stay there again, given the chance.

Location good in Uzan Bazaar and at the river. Clean room and very helpful manager. Very nice stay. Very good price for the location, the room and the service. Recommendable. Traveled four weeks in NE-India. Was one of the best stays during that time. Stayed two times. Will come back if I meet this place again.
