OYO Maitri Holiday Home - Hotel in Kausani, Someshwar Range - Bageshwar, India

I do not want to rate this hotel even a single star but google needs atleast one. Worst hotel in the whole of Kausani. The hotel management is very disrespectful to their customers. It was my personal experience when I got in to a word fight with the waiter who came to take our family order. I am going to share my story, please read, it is true. So it was around 7-7:30 pm when we reached Kausani after a long 11 hour road journey all the way from Moradabad, we were finding a hotel for 2 families, 10 people. So this man came in his Swift car and asked us, "Sir do you want rooms to stay", we said yes, he said come with me I'll show you rooms in my hotel i.e. Maitri Holiday Home. So we booked 3 rooms and they charged 2000Rs per room for the night. We checked in around 7:45 pm in to the hotel. And we all sat on the tables put infornt of the rooms. So here comes a waiter, don't know the name, asked me sir now you give the dinner order for the whole family now, because dinner order closes at 10:00 pm, so I said we will order around 9:30 pm so it will reach us at 10. I asked him if he could serve us Chilly Paneer in atleast 20 minute time. I said in hindi, "bhaiyaa, agr 15 mintt meN cillii pniir dedoge, tbhii meN aapko paise duuNgaa, kbhii der kro usse bhii jyaadaa apne hisaab se", hearing this, the waiter got angry and said "what is this, you have to pay for what we serve in whatever time, you cannot say like this to me, I am from Pahad and you from Planes, cannot make my fool ", I said ok you take 20 minutes time and serve me hot hot Chilly Paneer, then he said "We do not have Chilly Paneer and we will not serve you, you take it from wherever you want", this thing made me some angry and I said that "Now we all are not going to eat in your hotel, we all will eat outside your hotel in other restaurant", and we did the same thing. After the dinner outiside and coming back to hotel, at the entrance of this Maitri Hotel, here comes the owner's son in Alcohol influence and said to me, "Whatever you said to my waiter was very wrong and you cannot say like this, we are not fool from Pahad we cannot tolerate this kind of language", and then he got accompanied by the waiters and the hotel owner also came and all were in influence of Alcohol, said "You cannot say like this, today itself a party from Delhi was beaten by us and throne out of Kausani, you think we are fools". Having heard all of this I thought we are with family and we should compromise this time because we have ladies with us and we cannot take the risk of fighting with these alcoholic persons. So I said " I am sorry for what I said to the waiter, I am sorry again, I take back my words" but those were not convinced even after my apology and tried to misbehave and getting physical with my younger brothers, so the scene became tense and our whole family got frightened to see what they were doing, they were trying to get in physical fight but I somehow managed to keep my brother and the hotel owner apart from fighting, and again I said sorry what I said, but they started abusing us. So other guests also came out and saw what is going on and they also noticed that hotel owner and his son both are drunk and misbehaving with the customers. So others guests took our side and then somehow that night, we managed to escape a fighting with this hotel management. Sorry for bothering you all with my story but it is my own experience which I want all of you to read and beware of this Hotel Maitri.. pls

This is a guest house not 3star hotel. I visited but found in very bad shape. Flooring and bathroom etc are not in good condition. cloths were drying outside by some of the people already staying at the place. One person was moving outside without proper cloths which was very dirty. Staff was ok but manager was not so polite. Even tea served was of poor quality. At Gujarat, we pay around 200 Rs for such hotels. After that my family moved to Hotel Chevron Mountain Villa which has better rooms and View of Mountains.

Hotel is situated in the main market of Kausani. Rooms were very neat and clean. Bathroom was not that clean. The rooms were big and spacious. A big lawn in front of hotel. Few swings for kids with music and bonfire. Truly enjoyed my stay there. Hotel staff was helpful and polite. Food was delicious and cheap. Overall we enjoyed a lot.

Rooms are not so well maintained as well as bathrooms. Location is not so good. Very unprofessional gesture by manager Mr. Mukesh Joshi. We had a deal of breakfast and dinner with veg or non veg through phone. But after our arrival he totally changed his words and told us of having only veg. And asking us of having call record. So personally I experienced a very unprofessional gesture by him. And also the total forum is not so good.

Owner is a miser. Won't let you sit in the garden after 10:30 near the bonfire. Owner is sweet at first but once you pay, good forbid if you make your personal demand. He won't listen to you at all. Just look for another option nearby, you'll probably get a good price and a good place to stay where you don't have to argue with anyone for your own comfort.

This is worst to worst hotel i have ever been. Hotel staff is totally unprofessional spacially Receptionist Rakesh. the way of his talking, treat to guests is like no star property. Even few no star property much behave well then this. We reached Hotel at about 4PM and had 9 hrs long journey. we were 8 people(Family) and have booked 2 different hotel due to unavailability of room in this property, which is fine. but as our another hotel far Away from this property, so we decided to put our luggage here and have some rest and food, then leave for another hotel to check-in. But Story starts here, we reach hotel and ask receptionist ..to please allow a room so that we will put our luggage and have some rest and after that will leave to another hotel. But very rudely denied to check-in with saying "as per our policy we will allow only 3 people in the room and rest people have to wait in restaurant or reception area." we said we just have a long journey and very tired please allow us some time and we will leave to another hotel. but he stick with his statement. hence at the end we asked him to show where this policy writen and provide owner's number. he replied " I am the owner and my words are only the hotel policy.. After more argument we came to know he is nothing but just a receptionist and had a word with owner. but didnt get any satisfactory response from himself as well. We decided not to stay in this hotel bcoz we dont want to spoil our trip with this attitudinal person and hotel policies. we had a word with other guest as well stayed in this property and they confirmed the hotel facilities are third class and they aare also feel like hell, as no power backup, rude staff behaviour etc. So If you are going to spend a value time with your family/friend and have a happy trip, then i will recommend not to book this hotel. i have a video also but due to large file, i am unable to post... totally waste of money. My 2nd visit to this place. Well maintained since 2008. Good location, Good Food, Helping staff. Parking available. 10 min walking dist from anasakti ashram, if you have personal car, then it will be the best place to stay at night. Bon fire can be arranged by the hotel staff. Budget hotel also. Overall you will be satisfied.

Very GoodThe appearance of the hotel was okay. The appearance of the hotel was good. The behaviour of the staff's was good. The overall service was good. The food was nice with quality and quantity. I use any activities arranged by this hotel.
