OYO Hotel Blue Orchid - Hotel in Gangtok - East District, India

Very Bad experience. Bad coordination with taxi drivers and bad cleaning service. Made me pay extra (more than double) for their bad coordination leading to cancellation of tickets. The in-charge Biswas was very rude and kept asking us to go give police case against him for every mistake he makes. Never coming back here again.

Absolute first rate cheats. We had to stay with these people and they were acting as the tour providers. Everything they promised they went back on. They promised that they would arrange cab back to Siliguri in time to catch a bus to Kolkata. Not only did they not deliver on that, they took absolutely no responsibility for us losing our bus.

Absolutely terrible service. Especially by the hotel manager Vishwas Kumar. We faced extremely arrogant and rude behaviour from him. Money grubbing greedy guy who was concerned only about how much money he could extract from us. He quite shamelessly breaks promises of arranging cabs and stay, and when we missed our bus because of HIS mistake, he threatened to throw us out of the hotel and also to make sure that we won't get cabs to Siliguri. It was almost like we were jailed in Gangtok. Horrible experience

The stay at this place was the worst experience ever for me. They provided the worst travel plan with no consideration for our needs. They looted a huge amount of money from us and did not even book transportation for us. I would recommend anyone to never take their travel package.

Location of this hotel is really good. MG Marg is only 15mins of walking distance. Local taxi stand and the local market is just beside the hotel. The stuffs are really polite and helpful. Hotel room was very clean. If you want to have a good view of Kanchenjunga, then you might be disappointed. I would like to mention two negative point of this hotel - 1) No WiFi facility but in the website it is showing that the hotel has WiFi facility. 2) There is no default room cleaning services every day. You have to ask for it if you need. Overall, it was a great experience and value for money. I would like to thank Pramod for your great services.

Situated 10min distance from MG market. It's almost unknown to everyone, every taxi drivers, so just tell them to drive to "Sangram Bhawan". The hotel is at the corner of the turning of the road. Don't expect any view of city though. The manager is friendly but our room was dirty and mattress was very tough to sleep on. Geyser, soap, shampoos, tea makers, slippers are provided. There's no electric blanket, WiFi available. The rooms are pretty decent and doesn't meet Oyo standards.

Plus Location is just 10-15 minutes stroll from MG Marg. Local taxi stand and grocery market is only one minute away. And 5 minutes from SNT Bus stand. There is acute shortage of staff, but the available staff is really very efficient, prompt and polite. Overall good value for money. Hence we extended our stay too. Minus NonAC. Holed bed sheets, not so clean curtains & towels.There is continuous noise of some hidden water fall.

Worst experience. Room was not clean properly.
