OYO Hotel Bengal Inn Near Mani Square - Hotel in Kolkata - Kolkata, India

Not even worth a single star. Had to give one as it was not accepting the post. Had a booking for 9th and 10th Feb, that to a pre-paid booking. So we happen to reach early morning 9-9.30 am and there was no room available and as we were in a hurry we left immediately for our work. After returning in evening we checked in the hotel to our surprise, they had reserved the worst left room for us. Ideally we were the 1st visitor of the day and should have got atleast a proper room with all the amenities they claim to have. Being a couple (by the way they had already seen us in the morning) asked for a room with a single double bed/ king size bed they had one but the bathroom had no geyser so no hot water. Also the person at the reception was so in-cooperative, just doesn't have sense to talk to a customer. Never ever I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Also I am surprised OYO has tie-ups with such shabby hotels, in the name of discounts, you expect people to stay at such place. Also the breakfast was suppose to be served at 8.30 am but comes at 9 am.

The location is good. Everything is well connected. It's not the best in terms of restaurants nearby but food delivery apps have you covered. It's own restaurant is pretty good. The room is not too spacious but it's well maintained. The sheets were clean and the service was good too.

This hotel is situated in a pretty busy area specifically in beleghata near alochaya cinema (formerly) and comes in handy for a lot of travellers as there aren't any other equivalent options nearby. The hotel is pretty good with its service and atmosphere. The food here lacks in variety. The rooms are well maintained.

Not a clean washroom. Continuous tap flow from the shower.You can not stop it fully. Geyser doesn't work properly. If you sit on the commode your one leg will be under the basin.Don't know who designed that. No curtains in the window. Phone doesn't work in the room. moreover phone will be kept on top of almirah. You have to take lift or stairs to call for any room service. Poor ventilation. Attached balcony is the den of Pigeons. You cannot just stand there for even a minute. Very very dirty. One star given because there is no option below that. Otherwise it should be ZERO. Date of Booking- 23-24 Jan 2022. Room Number : 204. PS....I did not book it from OYO. I booked it directly.So I doubt OYO escalation will work here. Review was just to aware others of this place.

Over all every thing is fine... Privacy is good.... But when i approached the room was full of cigarette smell..... And the breakfast time starts from 8.30...so if u have some early mrng work or something u ginna miss it... As i missed

Rooms and lilens are smelling of smoke if someone non smoker he will definitely not happy, it is same in all oyo hotel in Kolkata. Before check-in I have already inform if you can provide me a non smoking room and denied and not only this the images are are so good that they provide sofa and other stuff but when you entered into room yiu don't find anything. it's so congested you can't believe. So please don't bluff your guests by putting such a beautiful images of your rooms.food is delicious thanks to chef for wonderful food really enjoyed.

Service is good but there will be always too noisy sound in nearby locality that you can't bear. If you forget something in that hotel then never expect it back to get. Be safe and cautious about your belongings.
