OYO Home Stay Winter Castle - Hotel in Devikulam - Idukki, India

Worst experience ever, he tries to loot customers, for one hour extra 500 rs extra, the hotel owner is greedy guy drunk all the time, created so much problems for us. No proper parking, charged extra money, no generator for most of the time, no water heater facility whole day. Go anywhere but NEVER EVER COME to this hotel.. It's like digging your own grave.

Pros: 1. Super friendly staff - they gave us more breakfast + bedsheets on request. 2. Clean rooms + hot water available + fans. 3. Price is economical compared to others. cons: 1. No good restaurants near by (other than just 1) 2. No good views from room / balcony. I would personally recommend this place.

Value for money. It's located around 7km away from the town and is peaceful. The host is friendly and adjusts accordingly. Rooms are clean and has everything you may need. There are things which could have been done better but still, best place you can stay for this amount of money.

Even though they are emerging into fully fledged Inn, wonderful hospitality. They took care of every one of our needs and made sure we were satisfied. Location is also great. It's only walkable distance to the main town if u love walking. Rooms were spick and span. Bed was well kept. There are no fans, then you don't need fans in Munnar.

They r using gas heaters to heat the water instead of electric heaters because of that one of our friend got fainted in the bathroom........We took him to hospital and the doctor told it's because of carbon monoxide released by the gas heater. So please be careful choose rooms wisely

I don't opt to stay there next time. Really worst. Parking only for a single car. Only top floor of the image is for accomodation, it has around 4 rooms shared by different people, no balcony no hall etc so no ambience of a home stay. Water heater is gas based, which scares us initially by seeing fire flames from it in the bathroom. Food was ok. Electricity breaks often and they put generator only once we complaint multiple times. If 2 different families comes one has to park car outside which is risky as this stay is beside a curved road. All vehicles horns on reaching there and all times we can hear loud sounds and vibration of the whole building. If you looks for a calm place never opt this. May be bachelors can accomodate there well. The worst was that my car had a big scratch on parking there, as some bikes of some was parked by them make it. No response when complaint them. Really worse.

This one is not in a great location, and not having good views, but rooms are good, eventhough simple breakfast was tasty. Parking space is very less, can park only one car, too close to road, munnar main town is 7 km away/10 min drive.

Very poor behaviour of staff, didn't even consider switching on the heater at night, not at all customer centric, very conjusted rooms, not worth the money, staff was behaving very rude and bad.
