OYO Home 78810 Shankar Pleasant Stays - Hotel in Varadharajapuram - Chengalpattu, India

Value for money option. Discovered due to the situation where I was not to visit the office in the entire trip and due to multiple reasons like ongoing international expo etc, key hotels were booked. First time there was issue to locate the hotel but despite reaching really late night, check in and entry was smooth. Setting of the room was sort of Serviced apartment with kettle and tea/ coffe maker with pouches of sugar/ milk powder/ tea/ coffee sachets. Breakfast was at rooftop, limited options but flavour was good.

This oyo home is in outskirts of chennai, room bed sheet, blankets and pillows were stinking.. couldn't sleep. The care taker was a good person, but no clean bedsheet or blanket were there

The room is pretty nice. Although a little small, it is well maintained. The service was a little slow though. The staff was courteous and polite. I found the room to be very home like. Having only one small duct makes it harder to cool the room though . The place is nice and quiet. The washroom is too small but it's all value for money.

Cleanliness and other amenities inside the room was good. But we have many other factors reducing the overall experience of the guest. This includes the location of the residence which is quite complex to reach from main road. Another factor is the ambience of the residence can be improved better along with amenities like lift.

Hotel interior was very good. They provided one BHK apartment with amenities oven, dryer, sofa set, dining table. Location is very poor, 1km inside from main road. Bed bugs frequently roam in the room. Mosquito can be seen in every nook corner. Room service is average. They don't respond immediately. AC is fix, cant be changed by self. No remote available. This hotel is worth only below 1000Rs. They provided two pieces of idli in breakfast.

It's a good place, comes within the budget (generally) nice and silent surrounding. Kind and polite staffs, helpful too . Modest rooms, well maintained and it was clean . Not sure about the food they serve, as I stayed just for a day and my stay didn't include food. There are lot of small food stalls, road side restaurants and mess kinda hotels available in a walkable distance or there are always couple of food delivery partners getting you food from various restaurants in and around the area . In a walkable distance, you get Chennai metro Guindy station and a marketplace too nearby. Easy access to nearby IT park (DLF, I suppose)( only by "Hire"Autos or any call taxi services as there are no buses from this place) at affordable taxi rates. Only drawback is, it's little far from main roads and was little hard to find it. P.S: I stayed here in the month of March 2019.

Don't go here guys. I booked and went there and they told no power and no rooms. Better choose other places. Road also not good . More and more mud.

Very nice place to stay in. Got the room via the OYO app. Was pleasantly surprised by the room. The room had a microwave oven, a fridge, a TV, and a safe. Room temperature was thermostat-controlled, although at times it was either a bit too cold or warm. Room service was quite prompt, and check in and check out were hassle free too. Couples are welcome here, which is a boon for many ;) The only issue is that it's located well in the interior of defence colony, and hence may be slightly hard to locate. Complimentary breakfast is also provided here.
