OYO Flagship Maraimalai Nagar - Hotel in Maraimalai Nagar - Chengalpattu, India

My encounter with the hotel staff was nothing short of an absolute nightmare. His behaviour was disturbingly arrogant. I booked this hotel through the OYO app for a seemingly reasonable price of 840 rs. However, upon arrival, they demanded an additional 300 rs without any compromise, or proceeded to ask us to cancel our room and leave. Given that the hotel is nestled in an outlying area, I was cornered into paying the extra charge. I forfot to bring my mobile charger, following which I made a humble request for them to lend me one, promising to return it after charging. Initially, they met my request with firm refusal. Eventually, the receptionist agreed to give one after multiple requests stating that I return it in exactly 60 minutes. It gives me the impression that they believed I was going to run away with their charger! The person on the reception desk continues to baffle me as I cannot fathom how they deemed him suitable for that role. He carries himself like a demanding hostel warden. His demeanor assures me he isn't cut out for career advancement unless he parts ways with this hotel. Dear Owner, Request you to change such a narrow minded, unwelcoming receptionist. I am not sure whether you insist them to charge these additional amount by the hotel staffs or he may be simply looting from the customers. I am planning to frequently visit maraimalai nagar for my office related works. However with my experience with the receptionist, I am pretty sure that I am not gonna book this property for my future stays. You simply just lost a customer. Just imagine the others guests face similar experience. You will lose out long term customers other than moving crowds of couples.

Such a worst property that doesn't care about Oyo confirmed booking. They will deny the check-in even if you have Oyo confirmed booking and they are charging 1500 per room without any basic amenities like toiletries, towels. Bedsheets are full of bed strains and other nasty stuff. AC is also not working. The staff are the worst fellows, they were drunk and not responding even after multiple calls. The location is too far and isolated. Not safe for women.

NOTE: SRM UNIVERSITY STUDENTS DONT CHOOSE THIS HOTEL. My first suggestion don't book hotels in Oyo app, this is the worst experience in my life, this hotel is in village, they don't even have a room boy,no lift, don't even expect a tea there not only in hotel there is no tea stall or tiffin center in this location, ola /uber will get but need to wait minimum 30 mints..Its very interior, if you book on Oyo app hotel management will not give the room for that price, they simply say go and ask Oyo and when you call Oyo this useless people does nothing just connect the call to hotel and tell us to talk them and the same things will repeats, when you try to complaint again to Oyo they will say pls wait they are connect to hotel manager we will be on hold owner never attend there call and Oyo guys will not comeback on line we should keep hearing there music on call...after few minutes we will get upset and end call .....that's all....nothing can be done by OYO GUYS they are the worst people.... Believe it or not we reached hotel at 10am but they gave the room at 6pm, think about our situation waiting with family for 8hrs ..in an around there no options.

They don't have kitchen for your order. And ask for extra money if you book through any online app.The location was in the village, you have to travel 2kmns for the market.

Very poor management, they made us pay 2.5k when we were only supposed to pay 600 on the Oyo app, the electricity had been gone too for a while

Rooms are okay leakage can be seen on walls apart from that there are no chairs no wardrobe provided and they do not accept Oyo or other third party booking app's price they will ask for extra money and they do not give checkin on online booking.
