OYO Flagship 18369 Hotel Golden Peak - Hotel in Shillong - East Khasi Hills, India

Definitely the worst of all hotels in the entire Shillong. - The so called manager of the hotel has no decency to talk to customers. - He doesn't respond to calls properly. Instead he orders the customers to bring food for breakfast. - There's no parking facility. The manager asks for extra money illegally (around 200) to park your bike inside the hotel shutter. [[ A bike of one of the customers has been stolen from infront of the hotel on 3rd August, 2023]] - We were not even provided with Charging plugs, a soap. WORST!!! Do not book this. Thank me later. I wish google had allowed Zero star ratings.

Worse hotel ever to check in! Never book this hotel just honest and wise advice. Smelly room, no tv, no wifi, geyser not working, windows won't close fully so u have stay awake whole night because of the horn and vehicles running on the road. Ants invading room and weeds can be seen growing in window frame n lot more.

We checked in at about 9pm.. and my first reaction was.. is it even a hotel room? It was so dirty and it smelt so bad. The washroom was like a box.. geyser, telephone, tv, wifi.. nothing was working. The room wasn't clean.. the person switched on the fan just so that the smell become less. Atleast the hotel was in a good location and the view was nice but that doesn't matter because you'll barely get any sleep due to the sound of the moving cars. We booked hotel just so we could get some rest and sleep but no.. the whole night..there were mosquitos and bugs all around and the sound outside the room didn't let us sleep. I strongly don't recommend this hotel

We stayed there in the Hotel for 3 days . The experience was worst ever. Surprisingly there was no reception & Room Service available. There was no water service available. The Hotel rooms are in the 3rd Floor and there was no Lift .No Dining Facilities available.Hotel rooms are too small no space to walk , the room was not in the same condition as the showcase in Google maps and oyo rooms , the bad cover and other stuff were not so clean. Only one person in the name of Hotel Staff, responsible for everything. Warning!!! I went there with my male friends group, but i have experienced that the person was asking for extra money from couple. So never go there, if you went in shilong as couple.

Bathroom were not clean, bed sheets r also dirty.

We stayed in the Hotel in Shillong for 05 - 06 Jun 2022: The experience was one of the worst of its kind: 1) There is no place for Reception. Check In Register is filled in the Room itself 2) Water Bottle also provided on Chargeable basis 3) No concept of Room Service! 4) No Ventilation with the Toilet. One window in the Toilet was available, while opening it there was garbage. 5) The Rooms are full of Smells coming out from the garbage connected with the Toilets. 6) The Hotel is in the 3rd Floor: There is no Lift 7) No Dining Facilities Conclusion: We are totally Cheated! Because, with much lower charges we shifted in Excellent Guest House at the Police Bazar in Shillong.

Can't rate less than 1 star otherwise this hotel deserves less than this. Only good thing about this hotel is the location. View is also great if you are get room having window. Had booked it via Oyo last month and no support received from customer care as well [Oyo Booking ID : YCW48160]. In fact they cheated asking for payment via Google pay and then it reflected no where in my booking. Coming to reasons why it was pathetic experience here: 1. Rooms are too small - Barely any space to walk. 2. Beds are broken, bedsheets pillows, curtains, bucket etc. all are dirty to the extreme. 3. Only one person in the name of Hotel Staff - He is responsible for security, cleaning, housekeeping etc. Very ill mannered. Didn't even helped us with luggage till our room on 3rd floor. 4. Worst part was they lock main door by 9PM and then if you reach late you will have to hear his non-sense that you are coming this late blah blah. Felt like he is hostel warden and I did book hostel in the name of hotel. It was pathetic waiting there at late night with family. In short I wouldn't suggest anyone to book this hotel at all.. Not in any scenario..

We booked through agoda. Staff said they won't accept online bookings. We had to pay more than agoda listed price for check in. Rooms were small and dirty. Sheets and towels were used ones. Staff behaviour was very unprofessional and rude. Please don't plan on staying here.
