I made a reservation only to be rudely told that there was no room available, before then being informed that as a foreigner I wasn't allowed to stay with them. I took time and effort to reach the hotel which was a waste. Very poor show, I recommend in the future that such policies are mentioned prior to booking.
We got the place during Durga Puja holidays as no other rooms were available at that time. I guess OYO should remove this place from under theirs. However for a cheaper price one can spend a day or two if most of the time you will be traveling. Difficult to park and ride up the way. Not in a very accessible location. Dinner was worst. However the breakfast was fine (had aloo Paratha)
The stuff was good and polite. Rooms are ok for a budget trip. They don't charge extra apart from what is shown on OYO. Make sure to pay cash at the hotel when you book.

Had a pleasant stay. However, room was very small and not at all spacious. Staff behaviour was good. Geyser, blankets are available. Exterior of the home stay is different from actual. The outer big building as shown on home stay pictures, is a residential building and the backward portion (Matshat SNGI Holiday Home) is the Home Stay Laban. Breakfast, Lunch/Dinner was included in the booking but hotel denied to provide lunch/dinner. They agreed to provide lunch/dinner on payment basis but not as complimentary.
Nice place to be if you want to avoid Shillong town traffic.
The Hotel is very basic. The Bed is very basic. the room is not clean or looks like some very old room with floor sheet came out and bathroom water leaking. The basic water heater is there and works well. Dont expect any premium stay. I would not at all recommend this for Family stay.

Had a very pleasant stay. The cottage is very well maintained and furnished. Rooms were neat and clean. The owner of the property,Mr Darell is very soft spoken and helpful. Overall the stay was very cozy. Highly recommended.
