OYO 8961 Hotel RR Palace - Hotel in Gorakhpur - Gorakhpur, India

Very bad experience with this hotel... AC is not working properly..... Sometime dinner system not available.... And staff behavior.... Chalta hai type....

Too much noise near our room during the night. Didn't order a rikshaw for us as promised and we almost missed our train. The location is good; the bed was comfy.

Here is what I got1. a Very small room, 2. Bathroom is dirty, the western toilet is not fit for adults, water taps are rusty,3. Exhaust not working, 4. Price is very high as compared to room size.5. Running water sound all the time from toilet sheet, 6. Telephone not working. 7. Kitchen is closed, you have to order food from outsidevery bad experience, Not recommended to anyone.

The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting downtown

William Shakespeare once said 'what's in a name'. I am confident he did not visit R R PALACE. He would have changed the saying post visiting this worthless place called R R Palace. There is NOTHING about this place which gives confidence to the owners to call it a PALACE. They are BLATANTLY LYING. One needs to navigate through narrow lanes to reach THE PALACE DO NOT BELIEVE the pictures posted on any website. They could have been taken using wide angle lens hence everything looks big. In reality, they are exactly the opposite. Everything about this hotel is PATHETIC. One cannot describe this hell hole. This hotel can give any public toilet a tough competition. Dirty, stuffy, mouldy and smelly. Everything stinks. No restaurant/kitchen. The receptionist suggest us to either Swiggy or Zomato our food. No elevator either. The walkways stink with used bed linens, plates, cups and spoon strewn all over. The Room-Pigeon hole size rooms. No space to move around. Wet, mouldy and chipped of walls. Water seepage in the room walls. Stained bed sheets and towels. AC and Phone were non-functional Half filled jug with only the GOD knowing the source of water. Drinking glasses kept in the room were stained with fingerprints. The Bathroom-Bathroom continues to be worse. Everything looks and feels dirty to touch. It gives a sickening feeling. No hot water. We has booked for 2 nights but we cut down our stay to a night as we would not stay put in this dirty place. I did not even ask for a refund as it would have been a futile attempt. I let go of the amount as we just wanted to leave. This hotel was booked through Make My Trip aka Make My Nightmare/Take My Trip. Hope they publish this review and not delete it. Anyways, this review will be posted on various social media websites for the benefit of travellers. It's shocking to see travellers providing good ratings to this hotel.

Hotel is in congested place but having on main Market. staff is supportive but room was not clean. as well room size is also to short not as per deluxe category.

nice hotel and good location. the only issue is that they don't have a kitchen if you need tea or even warm water after 9:30 pm, you will not get it. Rather, they will reply on phone "LOOK AT THE TIME, DON'T YOU KNOW WE HAVE NO KITCHEN INSIDE".... Staff was nice but thr Rooms are Bit Overpriced. Break fast is very limited and you have no option or variety to choose from. I stayed for 5 days and got same breakfast with no other options.

The staff working at the front desk was horrible. He was very rude and unhelpful when solving the hotel WIFI issue. The room was dirty ( dirty towel, stained sheets ) Room supplies were missing ( second towel for another person and toilet paper) Breakfast was very simple with just bread and butter and they tried making us pay for it after advertising " free breakfast online"
