OYO 8766 Hotel DS Regency - Hotel in Amritsar - Amritsar, India

I had booked 3 rooms from MMT on June 18th and had done all the formalities. After reaching the hotel (SD Regency, it's not the DS Regency) at 10 pm at night, the owner of the hotel behaved very badly with us. He was very arrogant, didn't know how to talk with guests, and asked for more money. Despite the fact that we had already made the payment online through MMT, we had to call customer service and they kept us waiting for nearly an hour in front of his hotel. After that, we shifted to another hotel.

We have stayed here many times over the last 5 years or so. We celebrated a wedding anniversary, and this Hotel staff made that celebration much more wonderful. Right from the second we pull up to the curb, staff was there with a smile, efficient manner and full of suggestions to make our stay great. Hotel has the best rooms, bathrooms, towels, robes, amenities. They took such good care of our room over the three nights we were there, it was like staying with friends. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. if you book well in advance, the cost is very competitive especially compared to the high cost of those other 'big box - i'm just a room number' hotels down the street!

The staff make this hotel worth the stay. It is a smaller hotel, only 5 floors and 10 rooms on each floor; the lobby is small and cozy and definitely has a nice feel. But, because of these things, you feel the staff really know you. The concierge, was amazing; she booked tours and dinner reservations for us which made things very simple. Also, the cupcakes in the room on my husband's birthday was a very nice touch, had tons of recommendations for activities, sightseeing, and restaurants. The front desk staff and doormen were friendly and efficient, valet parking was easy which was very wonderful since we had our baby with us. The rooms are clean, comfy and quiet, and the hotel has an amazing location. Just an outstanding hotel experience, I would definitely recommend this hotel over any other in Amritsar!

This hotel is in a great location. We were upgraded to a huge room which was actually a separate living room and bedroom sweet. Very nice and clean room. Staff was very nice. I would certainly recommend it. In walking distance to all of downtown Amritsar and to Old Town to the north. Would like to come back.

Worst place to stay. Booked this place online and hotel owner/staff started asking for more money on top of what I had already paid online. WiFi - not working Power plug in room - Not working! AC - not working just a simple advice, avoid this hotel and you can book hotels when you arrive in the city as well

The hotel is very small and nicely decorated. The staff know us at this point and greet us like old friends, the doorman, who is absolutely delightful. He'll do anything to get you what you need. There is a small bar/restaurant attached and it's a warm friendly place to have drinks and appetizers

I am quite adjusting when it comes to traveling. but this hotel was pathetic even to my standard. I have booked a room with 3 beds but they provided me a 2 bed room. The towels were too dirty and I had to convince the staff to provide me at least a clean towel. No room maintenance and dirty sheets. Room service was pathetic. Rooms were too small not at all like photos. The flush was not working and it took me 2 hours to convince them to change my room while I was already tired and sleepless Because of travel. Also there were other people at hotel with the same experience so I don't the good reviews they have are even genuine.

clean, wholesome, light, and excellent breakfasts and meeting rooms. We stayed 2 nights & 3 days. the meals were good the sound system worked well for meetings. adequate parking and a multiple choice of things to do in Amritsar
