OYO 8184 Golden Heights Enclave - Hotel in Darjeeling - Darjeeling, India

We stayed at the attick room. It has an attached terrace from which kanchanjungha view is excellent. However, no large window in the room and no direct view from the small door present in the room. The small door to the terrace is accessible after climbing 3 stairs and you have to mind your head while climbing to the terrace through the door as it's very low in height, almost like a window cum door. Also, no room heater or bed warmer available. They give a hot water bag on request but it spills water and your bed might get wet in the cold so be careful. Another thing is I didn't find the bed comfortable at all. The mattress is too soft causing discomfort and i couldn't sleep the whole night. I was just turning over but not getting to any comfortable position to sleep. Location wise it's 5 minutes walk downhill to the mall.

It was my first visit to Darjeeling and I loved the trip thoroughly. Sudarshan, the manager, was very helpful and guided us throughout the trip. We got the attic room from where view was magnificent. The food was really awesome. The chefs and catering stuff were extremely loving and caring. I had a small injury above my eyes on the first day. The chef got us some ice in a plastic bag and ensured that it the swelling healed as fast as possible. On our departure day, he even packed us delicious bread omelette early in the morning because we had to catch train.

Although location showing in the Google map is not accurate.. this hotel is at totally opposite road of mall. Hardly 10mim walking from keventers. But hotel is very very good,sudarshan ji manager is a good human being and responsible too. You will like that person for sure.. but the best part was their inhouse restaurant.breakfast is wow..just wow... and other cuisines are really very good.cook was a master of cooking and really have a nice time with them.they were polite and very supportive. I will definitely stay in this hotel. Rent is slightly in contest with their location..I booked it as it was beside bata as shown in map..but I am satisfied...

It's perfect!! The view of the Kanchenjunga from the dining area and the terrace is magnificent. The dining area itself is very picturesque with a small collection of books and a quaint fireplace. The rooms we stayed in were spacious with all the modern amenities.

If you truly want to enjoy the views of Darjeeling then this is a must stay place.. you will enjoy every moment there... They have open terrace with room, you can't find the same view from other high priced hotel.

Pathetic experience . Rooms are basically no view room, not a single window is there.. too old type tv with no signal.. room height is just 7ft too much suffocating... Small Washroom with old fixtures... Bad experience at all. Never recommend for family tour...

Nice place. Near to mall. 5/6 minutes walking from mall. Nice view from terrace. Service is very good. Manager sudarshan ji & staffs specially mingma a is very generous, well behaved.

Many have said about the scenic view from the terrace, delicious food, cozy rooms and friendly behaviour of the team - I will talk about something else. Last month I visited there, with my friend who suffered from sudden indigestion. Mrs. Bhutia not only gave him cold milk with cornflakes and prepared light khichidi but also arranged for the medicines at night. She kept on checking and guiding us further on food and soon my friend became fit and fine. Hospitality is something but taking care as a family member is something else in an unknown place. Even Sundarshanji contacted me after our check out to inform, I left my mobile charger in the room. It was very kind of him that he kept it safe and later after a few days my brother went there and collected it. If I again visit Darjeeling I would definitely wish to meet Mrs. Bhutia, Sudarshanji and all the team members again.
