OYO 7580 Jagannath Temple - Hotel in Puri - Puri, India

Very nice, peaceful and caring attitude.. Canteen is too good.. The cook not allows me to go outside for food. Very warm and appreciable welcome by the booking counter manager and staff.. AC is efficiently functional. Condition of bed, furniture and accessories are in working condition.. Hospitality is superb.. At last it was a very pleasant and comfortable stay at oyo swastik mandap, jagannath temple hotel at puri.. Rooms are maintained every day by cleaning.. It is a very big satisfaction to the customer and caring attitude of hotel management staff and prompt solutions is another aspect to stay in future also liable for further recommendation to other friends and relatives for comfortable stay when at puri... The place is amazing. I stayed here for 1 day and the service was very good. Rooms are very clean and beautiful. You can see my attached pictures. Bathroom is also not small and you won't feel conjested. The room itself is somewhat small but it's very well decorated and managed. You'll find ambient light everywhere so if you have low eye-sight, that's a down point. It really gives luxurious feel even at such affordable price.

The bedsheets were awfully stauned n dirty but kaali the one who escorted me to the room was sweet to change the bed sheets immediately n even manas mohanty was a great help explaining how to explore the city. The supervisor named Balram Das(i guess) extremely rude n a different level of attitude who doesn't even look at you n talk. As just a senior he is already in the 7th heaven wonder what attitude he would have if he had to own the place. Such people will never do better in life. He possibly will retire as a supervisor or a manager in life n nothing more. Rude n loud to the core upon asking why is the name of the hotel different than what i booked. Booking name is Jagannath hote but the hotels real name is something else. Was very difficult to find the hotel at night. The hotels bathroom is atrociously dirty.i have pictures of everything incase u want me to prove it however the bed is nice as its a broad matress n the ac is in good condition. Oyo sent me a mail of confirmation n also mentioned that if i need late check out post 10am that will be on availability basis. This is fair i thought as i can check out by 10. But the hotel staff upon the supervisors demand kept calling n knocking at my door from 8am to check out. And that reminds the tv never worked n the mosquito repellant bottle was empty n the inroom fone dint work the first day but the second day to ask me to check out at 8am it worked absolutely fine.But the worstt thing i still felt was the supervisor's rude behaviour. The supervisor even threatened me that he will shift my room along with my bags in my absence as i am in a double bed room when i had booked a single room. I wasnt even aware of that fact as at nite they gave me the keys n escorted me to the room. I didnot demand the room. They shouldnt have given me the double room then. Thats when i put my foot down n dared the supervisor to do so innmy absence n i shall call the police. After this he shut up.

Its room is nice but some things of room don't work properly. Room locking system is too bad.I got hurt while locking. Bathroom is nice and clean but lock is not good.My room's TV doesn't work properly. Restaurant is not good.Don't take complimentary breakfast. Its tasty is decent and they take extra charge when you will take something. I don't prefer you guys to eat here. Go outside.Bye guys enjoy your tour.

Horrible experience. I booked this hotel with oyo helpline, clearly mentioning that I needed a room for transit purpose, from 6 am in the morning to 11 am. I was assured by the customer care service regarding the same, but on making partial payment as insisted, I received a booking with check out time of 8 am. The customer care person however told me that a request has been sent to the hotel for extending my stay till 10 am and the remainder one hour I should manage on my own. On reaching the hotel, I was told the manager will come at 8 am, and room can be given after 8 am. On repeated explanation to the attending staff, he called his manager, I spoke to him and clarified about the booking and the first thing I was told was that I need to do the payment of remainder Rs 2000 and will have to check out at 8 am, maximum by 9 am, at any cost. Unbelievable level of fraud by customer care representative, and unbelievably rude was the dealing of staff and manager of the hotel. I hope the customer care representatives go through my phone call record for booking and train their customer care representatives not to lure customers with false promises to enhance their business at the cost of inconvenience of customers. Extremely good hospitality. Excellent rooms not too far from the temple. The only problem was with OYO not disclosing the actual name of the Hotel even after booking. Also the direction to the hotel as per OYO was completely wrong. It was only after I contacted the Hotel through OYO that I came to know of the Hotel's actual name and directions. OYO needs to recheck this.

Good room with good shower considering the price. But the place is a mosquito den. Saw quite a flock at the reception but the workers seem to be ok with them. We stayed up till 3am to hunt down all the mosquitos and blocking all the possible little gaps yet the mosquitos still manage to get in.

It's a bit over priced for the way it's been maintained. There is no functional restaurant here. Breakfast is being procured from outside and the quality of it is much wanting. The room is not well cleaned and there are various stains on the walls and the bed spread. Pillows are very dirty but covered with yellowish white covers. It's a den of mosquitoes which had invaded everywhere including the lift. At the entrance itself we are greeted with a strong stench emanating from the nearby gutter which is sickening. Orverall, our stay was not a pleasant one there My rating of the hotel is one star.
