OYO 70250 Royal Residency - Hotel in Salem, Namakkal - Namakkal, India

It was my mistake that I saw the pictures of the Coastal Grand Hotels and booked a room in Royal Residency, supposed to be a sister unit. It is primarily a lodge, The amenities were basic. The room and the rest room were neat enough. The AC was functional. The list of missing items is longer - no lift, no towels, no soap, no phone and no room service. As a low cost 'lodge' it is fine. But I am disappointed that it is part of the Coastal Grand. I am cursing myself for not looking at the name of the hotel ('Coastal Residency' vs 'Coastal Royal Residency' while doing a google search.

Good Place and decent service. access to this location is bit challenging in daytime as the road is narrow. ample car parking space, but getting inside parking lot is little challenging due to narrow & congested road

At first they denied the rooms, saying booking amount is low. had to wait at reception for half an hour to get the thing sorted out. very pathetic service, dirty linens, no elevator, no Bell boy to assist your luggage. rude staff. no hotwater in the bathroom. no intercom, broken switches..!! hotel situated in a gully, parking is bit far from the hotel, so you have to Park and carry your luggage all the way to hotel. Funny part is this property also belongs to Costal residency namakkal. Stayed: 22-Jun- 2023 | Classic

Worst place I ever saw. They are not accepting online booking. Rude staffs. No proper parking facility. Rooms also not clean.

There is a scope to increase hygiene and service is good. Thet provide dental kit, soap & shampoo as compliment for their customer

Negatives: If we booked through OYO, the hotel management didn't allow us to check-in until we paid the additional money requested. Even though I have contacted OYO support the problem is not resolved. Another major problem is, if we called the number provided in google maps, it is diverting to OYO booking service. (You can contact the number provided in the attached image. Since the restaurant and hotel located in same place and same receptionist maintaing the same) Positive: The room is neat and clean. Maintenance also good.

Rooms were okay and very close to where we wanted to go. 24 hr check out was a really good deal. Parking option is separate from the main building but that too is okay. The disappointment for me was that towels were not available as all towels apparently went to the laundry. Not sure if it is regular. Staff were nice amd helpful.

Cons: * Don't book through OYO, Hotel management asks for extra money otherwise they were not allow us to check-in. * Not a covered parking, Even CCTV also not installed. They should improve. * If we contact the phone number provided in maps, it goes to OYO. Not sure why Hotel management updated their phone number in maps. I can see replies for most of the review, but they are not updated their contact number here. Proc: * Rooms are good and maintained neatly * AC good
