OYO 6916 Hotel Deorali - Hotel in Gangtok - East District, India

Booked this hotel from MakeMyTrip quite in advance. Weirdly couldn't get the hotel on call on the day of check-in. Had to call Oyo customer service quite a few times to finally get Hotel's number, still couldn't get them on call. At least got the rooms when we reached there. In no way, the rooms and toilets were as per Oyo standards & justifying the price. PLEASE NOTE THAT 'TRIPLE SHARING' OPTION MEANS AN ADDITIONAL SINGLE MATTRESS (WITH SHEET, PILLOW & BLANKET) THAT YOU HAVE TO ARRANGE ON FLOOR. When ordered dinner, didn't receive for 1.5 hours. After calling quite a few times, we had to climb up to their rooftop dining hall to take the dinner. Strangely they refused to provide dinner in our rooms, while we saw they were serving dinner to other guests in other rooms. When asked, they informed that they couldn't serve dinner in our rooms because we ordered roti. Weird! Food quality was not good at all. Rotis were half cooked. Fried daal was tasteless. Aloo Gobi was full of oil. Portion size was not reasonable at all. We stayed in Room no 105 & 106. Even after turning off all the lights of those rooms, you would have an ample amount of light from the street through the windows. On top of that, the noise from the adjacent street would mess up your sleep for sure. Final bow of unprofessionalism nearly made us miss our flight. I particularly informed the staffs that we would check out early in the morning the next day. Hence cleared all bills right at night. When we woke up the next day and went to the reception, no one was there and the hotel was completely locked. I had to search the entire hotel for any staff rooms but couldn't find any. I panicked. Finally called their travel desk number and got to know that Room no 201 was being used by staffs. Woke them up, got the doors opened and rushed out. Terrible!

Good hotel at this price point. It's really cheap but their service is great. Stuffs are also friendly and supportive. Rooms are neat and clean also. Would recommend this hotel if you want to safe some bucks.

Good behavior good service. But we are three people here but they provide us two person service. Some room don't get towels some don't get water. When asked they asked for bottles for water. Room is good and clean

Staff are really very helpful and very friendly. Rooms are neat and clean. Food was awesome. I booked this hotel from 22 feb to 23 feb and when ever I will visit here I prefer this hotel and I suggest to all my friends and family.

This hotel has no class. Worst food quality, staff behavior. Hotel rooms are ok but pillow , bed etc dirty.

As per my hope the experience is not per my expectations. Some electric appliance doesn't function..please do improve these things. coffee is awesome.

This hotel hasn't any tie up with oyo. Please don't book this hotel from oyo. This hotel has different booking app called say rooms. Food is very good.. Overall was good stay.

Pocket friendly, nice rooms and good view of the Gangtok valley.. go for it don't think much, and ask them to provide valley view rooms. The staff were too very co-operative.
